Divine Bourrage, a five-star recruit from the 2025 class, is widely considered one of the best players at the high school level. The Iowa native recently took on a coaching role with the TNT Youth Basketball Sports Club, mentoring young players in her hometown.
In a video posted on her Instagram story on Thursday, Bourrage played one-on-one against a young player. She outmaneuvered her opponent and finished with a clean basket.
"Coach vine no mercy," Bourrage wrote.
TNT Youth Basketball announced her involvement last Saturday on its Instagram account.
"After working camp @vine_spirit, Divine let us know she wanted to help coach teams this spring and summer before heading to LSU. It’s a blessing to have her giving back to the kids in her hometown," @tntyouthbasketball wrote.
Bourrage committed to LSU in August 2023, choosing the Tigers over offers from Illinois, Missouri, Florida and Kentucky, among others. Known for her scoring and court vision, she is set to bring her skills to Baton Rouge next season as part of LSU's highly regarded recruiting class that will also feature Bella Hines, ZaKiyah Johnson and Grace Knox.
Divine Bourrage impresses LSU assistant coach Gary Redus
Divine Bourrage is gearing up to join the star-studded roster of LSU. However, she has already made an impression on the Tigers coaching staff with her strong performances. The Davenport (Iowa) North star faced Bettendorf on Dec. 17 and dominated.
The No. 1-ranked shooting guard in the 2025 class displayed her court vision, speed and agility. Bourrage recorded 29 points, 13 rebounds and six assists, leading the Wildcats to a convincing 69-53 victory.
On Tuesday, Isaiah Ponciano shared the highlights of the game on Instagram.
"@vine_spirit is in her bag (29 points, 13 rebounds & 6 assists) vs. Bettendorf," Ponciano captioned.
Bourrage's performance got LSU assistant coach Gary Redus' attention.
"🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥," Redus commented.
As good as Bourrage has been this season, the Wildcats are only 5-3. Against the Johnston Dragons on Dec. 21, Bourrage and her teammates suffered a 63-38 defeat.
They will be back in action on Tuesday against the Pleasant Valley Spartans.
