Reidsville tight end Kendre Harrison may be known more for his football prowess, but few know he is an intimidating power forward. During last Thursday's game against the T.W. Andrew Red Raiders, the five-star tight end showed that he is very good at basketball, too, as he had 16 points and 17 rebounds for a double-double performance.

The two-sport star has led the Reidsville Rams to an undefeated 15-0 record over in North Carolina, showing he could grab any ball from the air, whether round or egg-shaped. He also showed some defensive prowess as he blocked a shot from a T.W. Andrews player.

Here is what 247Sports' Andrew Ivins says about the 6-foot-7 tight end/power forward:

"A two-sport star with an intimidating frame that looks to be north of 6-foot-6," Ivins said. "Could be molded into a variety of different things, but ceiling might ultimately be highest as an in-line tight end given large catch radius and potential as a blocker. Rare size makes him a straight up mismatch for high school defenders, especially in the red zone as he fights for positioning."
"Not the sharpest route runner at this stage in his development, but can adjust to off-target throws and is a handful to bring down in the open field once he secures the prize. Will move people out of the way and open up run lanes, but improved technique will only allow him to make more of an impact at the point of attack. Must keep progressing and buy into the process at the program of his choice, but has the tools to be a true difference-maker on Saturdays. Might also get a look on defense as he has flashed the ability to redirect and chase down quarterbacks." the scout added.

Harrison also averages a double-double in his junior year, averaging 14.4 points and 11.8 rebounds. He also has 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game, making him a defensive stalwart for his school.

Kendre Harrison is also considered one of the top big men in North Carolina

Now that football season is over, Kendre Harrison can finally concentrate on basketball, and the power forward, who has committed to play football and basketball for Oregon, is considered one of the best big men from the class of 2026.

Harrison has brought his defensive intensity from football over to basketball. Phenom Hoops regards him as one of the top rim protectors in the state. He has also been described as a "double-double machine" and a "physical freak."
