No. 1 ranked WBB prospect Aaliyah Chavez was indeed on fire at the recently concluded Caprock Classic tournament, which ran from Dec. 26 to 28. The five-star prospect put up ridiculous numbers in all four matches, averaging an impressive 42.25 points.

Still in the wake of her mind-blowing performances, popular WBB league Overtime Select took to their official Instagram page @overtimeselect to further spotlight the Monterey's star brilliance in the tournament. The post, which was shared on Friday, highlighted Chavez's performance across two games, where she scored 44 and 45 points, respectively.

Even more impressive, the 5-foot-11 point guard ended the tournament with a whopping 169 points in four games played. The first game of the tournament saw her deliver 53 points to lead Monterey to a victory. In the next two matches, which were the games highlighted in the post, the 18-year-old star went on to score 89 points.

Specifically, she scored 44 points in Monterey's 77-29 victory over Eastwood and 45 points in the 89-31 win over Americas high school.

Although the Plainsmen lost 70-60 against Frenship High School in the tournament's final, Chavez led all scorers with 27 points. She also went on to win the MVP of the bracket while also being featured on the all-tournament team.

Five-star prospect Aaliyah Chavez scored 53 with nine threes in Caprock Classic game

One of the most impressive highlights of Aaliyah Chavez's scoring spree at the Caprock Classic tournament came in Monterey's victory against Pampa High School in their first game of the tournament. The five-star prospect lit up the scoreboard with 53 points, but the most impressive part is that she did that with nine 3-pointers.

The game, which ended 89-35, was more or less a routine win for the Aaliyah Chavez-led Plainsmen. They ran circles around Pampa High School throughout the game, keeping them to single-figure scores in the first three quarters. By the fourth quarter, when Pampa eventually outscored the Plainsmen, it was already too late.
