In a throwback post shared Friday by SportsCenter NEXT on Instagram, fans enjoyed highlights from the unforgettable 2016 matchup between three-time NBA All-Star Bam Adebayo and Lonzo Ball's legendary unbeaten Chino Hills high school team.
One clip showed Ball and the squad executing a defensive performance, making steals and transitioning from defense to offense. Another clip featured Adebayo going toe-to-toe against the Chino Hills team.
The post also included a postgame interview with Ball, in which he was asked how teams could stop the dominant Chino Hills squad. Ball replied that he couldn't say, as no one had figured it out that year, and he wasn't about to reveal their secrets.
The 2016 Chino Hills High School team is regarded as one of the best in history, finishing the season undefeated with a record of 35-0 and clinching the state championship.
Ball, a five-star point guard on the team, was named Player of the Year after averaging 23.9 points, 11.3 rebounds and 11.7 assists per game. That year marked his final high school season before he committed to UCLA, where he played one season before being drafted as the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft.
Adebayo also had an impressive season, averaging 18.9 ppg and 13.0 rpg at High Point Christian Academy. He led his team to the NCISAA state championship and won the 2016 North Carolina Mr. Basketball award.
Adebayo was ranked the No. 5 overall recruit in his final high school year. He later committed to the University of Kentucky, playing one season before being drafted by the Miami Heat as the 14th overall pick in 2017.

Before transitioning to High Point Christian Academy, where he spent his senior year, Bam Adebayo attended Northside High School. As a junior at Northside, he averaged 32.2 ppg and 21.0 rpg.
He then featured in notable high school tournaments like the Adidas Uprising Circuit, where he averaged 15.0 ppg and 10.0 rpg. He also competed at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, where he won the MVP award.
As a senior with High Point Christian Academy, Adebayo averaged 18.9 ppg and 13.0 rpg.
