Tajh Ariza, a five-star small forward from the 2026 class, gave fans a glimpse into his off-day hustle and his work out routines in an Instagram story on Thursday. The rising star shared a video showcasing his lateral jump training, captioning it:

In September 2024, Tajh and his father Trevor Ariza, featured in a video on the Slam Highlights YouTube channel, offering a glimpse into his daily routine. The youngster shared that he starts his mornings at 5:45 a.m. with beach workouts. The discipline required for such a schedule isn’t lost on his father, former NBA player Trevor Ariza.
"Getting up early like that, it's more of a mental workout," Trevor Ariza said. "You tired you got school, nobody really likes it, he is not really morning person so, him using the discipline and the mental part of getting better to get up early and you know get some work done is just a test of where’s he come from... it's big especially for a 16-year old kid.” (1:20 - 1:57)
The high schooler, currently ranked No. 3 nationally by 247Sports, also revealed that he pairs his early morning sessions with rigorous on-court drills to hone his skills. Playing for Westchester Senior, Los Angeles, CA, he has received offers from top programs like Arizona, Kentucky, Kansas, etc.
Tajh Ariza Shines at the John Wall Holiday Invitational
Tajh Ariza's intense off-day training pays off when he is on the court. The young forward put up an amazing display of skills during the recently concluded John Wall Holiday Invitational. In the last game against the Southern School of Energy and Sustainability (Durham, NC), Tajh stood out with his 23 points.
His electrifying performance enabled the Westchester Comets to outdo Southern Durham and claim a 62-56 victory. On top of that, Tajh Ariza’s dominant gameplay also earned him the player of the game.
Not only that, the 16-year-old also managed a useful 12 points in the high-profile semifinal game against the Highland Hawks featuring 5-star prospect Nate Ament on Saturday. The game that saw two college coaches, Jon Scheyer from Duke University and John Calipari of Arkansas, in the stands was a close one.
Tajh Ariza and Westchester put up a strong fight, trailing behind with only one point in the first quarter. But Nate Ament's side ultimately won the game 63-40.
