Maxx Crosby is one of the NFL's best defensive players. The Las Vegas Raiders' star defensive end was one of the few bright spots in their forgettable season.

Crosby's football journey began in Texas, where he played for Colleyville Heritage High School. He went on to play at Eastern Michigan. Texas has some of the country's best high school football and is known for its passionate crowds.

The defensive end talked highly about the Texas high school atmosphere on Julian Edelman's "Games with Names" show.

"I played 6A, like, the highest division, 15,000 in the crowd packed out," Crosby said. "The whole parking lot was tailgating, and it was crazy. I mean, the environment was like nothing I’ve ever seen. And I end up going to Eastern Michigan and we had less fans. My first two years, we had less fans in my college games."

During his junior year, Crosby recorded 41 total tackles and one sack while also racking up a fumble recovery while helping the Eagles to an 8-3 record. He followed that with 61 tackles and 3.0 sacks during his senior year.

Maxx Crosby received only one offer despite his impressive numbers in high school

Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby was a three-star recruit coming out of high school in 2015. He helped his high school football team in Colleyville, Texas, to a 13-9 record.

However, the talented defensive player received only one college offer throughout his recruitment process. Maxx Crosby was ranked No. 2,532 in the country and was the 258th-best player at his position in the Class of 2015, as per On3. He was also the 374th-best overall prospect from the state of Texas.

Eastern Michigan put faith in Crosby, and he signed with the program. He played for the Eagles from 2015 to 2018 and was selected first-team All-MAC two times.

He was drafted by the Raiders in the fourth round in 2019 and went on to establish himself as one of the premiere defensive players in the game. Since his debut in the league, Crosby has racked up 366 tackles and 59.5 sacks and has been selected to the Pro Bowl four times.
