Colorado's 7-2 season has been marked by standout players, some hidden gems, and one of the brightest of those is offensive lineman Cash Cleveland. The former IMG Academy (Bradenton, Florida) player made his mark as a walk-on and has quickly found himself at home.
Cleveland joined Colorado alongside Jordan Seaton, another offensive lineman from IMG Academy. The two players’ history together has created a unique chemistry, which Cleveland says has been invaluable. This bond is giving Cleveland the confidence to try to recreate an “IMG offense line” at Deion Sanders' program by building on the familiarity that comes from their shared high school experience.
On Wednesday, Cleveland hinted at this recruitment effort, saying:
"We got a lot of them other boys we’re trying to get here too. Maybe build a full IMG offense line. So we're working on that and get that going, get that rolling."
Cleveland is not bragging, as even posted a snap with Jordan, with the caption:
@JordanSeaton_ Think we should add to the IMG reunion this weekend👀 @BIIGMIKE_55 @breck_kolojay what we doing? #Play4CoachPrime."
Two IMG recruits tagged in the post are five-star interior offensive lineman Michael Carroll and four-star interior offensive lineman Breck Kolojay.
Carroll is a 2025 class prospect who has been committed to Alabama since June. As the early signing period of his class is less than a month away, it looked difficult to flip Carroll. However, he showed a glimpse of hope by scheduling a visit to Colorado on Saturday for the Utah game.
Meanwhile, Kolojay belongs to the 2026 class, and Florida is currently the leader in his recruitment with a 24.2% chance of securing his commitment, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. But Kolojay is still uncommitted, and Cleveland can take the opportunity to recruit him for Colorado.
Deion Sanders sends a message to Colorado recruits following Cash Cleveland's mighty performance
Colorado's Week 11 comeback 41-27 win over Texas Tech on Saturday witnessed the rising impact of Cash Cleveland. With questions around Hank Zilinskas's reliability, Cleveland delivered an excellent performance in pass protection by allowing just one pressure in 51 pass-blocking snaps.
Deion Sanders praised Cleveland's caliber and also sent a message to future Colorado stars about his program’s philosophy that playing time is earned, not given.
“What it shows is that, we don’t care if you’re a five-star, a four-star or a walk-on. Which he was,” Sanders said (via Athlon Sports). “And he’s out there playing. Valuable time, not garbage time. He is out there and putting in some real production for us. So I’m proud of Cash. He’s one of my favorites, as well.”
Despite just being a freshman, Cleveland has maintained stability on the offensive line and quickly became a fan-favorite star. This weekend, he will again be in the spotlight as Colorado faces Utah.
