Bryce Underwood, a five-star quarterback from Belleville High School, flipped his commitment from LSU to Michigan in mid-November. He officially signed with the Wolverines on Dec. 4 and recently attended a bowl practice with the team. Underwood was in full Michigan gear, donning the No. 19 jers.
The highly touted prospect chose Michigan over programs such as Ohio State, Michigan State, Penn State, Tennessee, Florida and Alabama.
On3 Recruits’ Instagram page shared a post of Underwood practicing with his new Michigan teammates, including Class of 2022 quarterback, Alex Orji, who has made headlines for planning to enter the transfer portal.
Orji, seen performing basketball moves in the background of the video, became the subject of fans’ trolling. The post generated significant buzz, with college football fans flooding the comments section.
"WE WANT ONE MORE ORJI," one fan wrote.
"Bruh this is why orji can't throw because he's playing basketball," another fan said.
"Didn’t Alex orji enter the transfer portal," another fan commented.
Orji's decision to enter the transfer portal after playing for Michigan since 2022 didn’t stop fans from enjoying the video.
"Orji in the back practicing," one fan wrote.
"Orji in the background HOOPING," another fan commented.
"Orji still there and he entered the transfer portal?" another fan asked.
Bryce Underwood is expected to contribute to the Wolverines as soon as possible. With Orji entering the transfer portal, Underwood’s path to playing time appears even clearer.
