Keelon Russell inks NIL deal with Team IFA
Keelon Russell signed a NIL deal with Team IFA on Dec 18. Team IFA has a history of recruiting high school and college athletes since 2009.
"Anyone that knows me knows how important family is to me and all the people that make up IFA have quickly become an extension of my family," Russell said (via On3).
"I am excited to be a part of everything they do and I look forward to working with and growing my relationship with them for many years."
Blake Baratz, founder of Team IFA, said:
"Keelon is the definition of a true leader. Whether he’s leading his team to state championships or being a champion for literacy in the community, he is always looking at the bigger picture."
Keelon Russell's views on NIL valuation
In June, in an interview with On3, Russell spoke about his views on NIL valuation.
"I believe you may start off at $400,000 one year and you may end up at $800,000. It doesn’t really concern me because you got processes – the thing for me is getting to the next level,"Russell said.
"The NFL is where I want to be. I know the NFL is going to give the right amount for me. It doesn’t matter where I’m at."
Russell expressed his desire to collaborate with brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Balenciaga. He even joked that he would be willing to model for just a pair of socks if the brands offered.
