As a senior, Johnson flew to New York for the SLAM Summer Classic in August 2021. In a story posted by SLAM's Ryan Jones on Oct. 8, 2021, Johnson talked about the most memorable experience in her basketball career:
“Man, most memorable … well, really this right here, I ain’t never been in nothing like this!” she said (referring to SLAM Summer Classic). “Flew out, penthouse, A-Boogie performed, this was crazy. This is probably the highlight of my whole basketball career.”
Flau'jae Johnson finished her high school career as the school's all-time leading scorer and became the only girl to have her number retired by the school. Furthermore, she earned the most valuable player honors at the SLAM Summer Classic and Jordan Brand Classic where she scored 27 points.

Flau'jae Johnson also talked about her mentality and her work ethic on the court:
“Where I’m from, that’s how we get down—we get in your face, we talk, we pop our junk,” she said. "So that’s what I do, every time. I don’t ever let nobody outwork me, ever. I work hard. I don’t play around. What you see on the court, it’s like a replica of what I already put in.”
