Isaiah Johnson, the three-star point guard from Valley Village, California, announced his commitment to the Colorado Buffaloes on Thursday. Soon after announcing his decision, the 6-foot-1 prospect received support from some of the best NBA players.
LA Lakers superstar LeBron James and his former Miami Heat teammate, Dwayne Wade, took to Johnson's Instagram and expressed their love for the point guard. Both NBA legends called Johnson "nephew" while congratulating him for his commitment.
Other NBA stars who supported Johnson were Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Darius Garland, Lakers forward Jarred Vanderbilt, Detroit Pistons forward Tobias Harris, and James’ son, Bryce James.
Johnson is the son of basketball trainer Chris Johnson, who has worked closely with James and other NBA stars.
The 6-foot-1 point guard chose the Buffaloes over other top programs such as Denver, New Mexico State, Rice, San Diego, and UC Davis, among others. He is the 51st-best point guard in the class of 2025 and the No. 28 overall prospect from California, as per 247Sports.

The Campbell Hall School's point guard received 10 offers from schools such as Weber State, UC Davis, San Diego, Rice, Denver, and New Mexico State, among others.
The Buffaloes' class of 2025 is ranked No. 36 overall, as per 247Sports. They have only acquired one commitment and have extended seven offers so far. Coach Tad Boyle and company may land more commitments in the upcoming weeks.
The 6-foot-1 point guard has played 25 high school games so far and has averaged 12.7 points per game, 3.6 rebounds per game, 4.1 assists per game, and 1.4 steals per game.
In his latest game for his high school team, Johnson dropped 26 points on 69% shooting from the field and 57% from the three-point range against the Windward Wildcats.
