McKenna Woliczko, one of the top recruits in the Class of 2026 and FIBA gold medalist, suffered a season-ending knee injury in Archbishop Mitty's 61-44 loss to Ontario Christian in the Sabrina Ionescu Showcase on Saturday.
Woliczko shared the injury on Instagram on Tuesday, thanking everyone who contacted her after her injury. Ionescu showed her support with a one-word message in the comments section.
"Unstoppable," Ionescu wrote.
USC commitment Jazzy Davidson also showed her support.
"thinking of you 🤍🙏🏼," she commented.
More players showed their support.
"praying for you ❤️❤️," Maddyn Greenway, a four-star point guard from Providence Academy (Minneapolis) in the Class of 2026.
Kaleena Smith, the No. 1 recruit from the Class of 2027 (and her opponent on Saturday), also commented: "🙏🏽🫶🏻."
"praying for you 🙏🙏," Addie Deal, an Iowa signee who is ranked No. 18 in the 2025 class by ESPN, wrote.
"🙏🙏," Iowa's Taylor Stremlow commented.

I will continue to push through this setback," Woliczko posted.
Her injury came when she was whistled for a foul on Alanna Neale with Mitty (located in San Jose, California) leading 19-17.
In the 2023 FIBA Americas U16 Championship, Woliczko started all six games and averaged 11.8 points on 62.0% shooting and 9.7 rebounds to help Team USA to a perfect 6-0 record.
Her best performance came in the semifinal game against Argentina where she Woliczko had 24 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals and a block.
Sabrina Ionescu comments on McKenna Woliczko's injury
WNBA champ Sabrina Ionescu talked about Woliczko's injury with SBLive Saturday after the game at Carondelet High in Concord, California.
"Every elite athlete has had to endure injuries in their career," Ionescu said. “I let her know I had a pretty significant (hamstring) injury my rookie season and try to be patient. She’s a great young lady and an excellent player and has a very promising future.”
The Class of 2026 guard has offers from top programs including USC, UCLA, South Carolina and North Carolina.
