Former Dallas Cowboys star Dez Bryant spent his Saturday night immersed in the energy of Texas high school football by attending the Class 6A Division I state semifinal between Duncanville and North Crowley in Allen, Texas.

Among the standout performers under the bright lights was five-star Oregon wide receiver signee Dakorien Moore, who left a big impression on the three-time Pro Bowler.

Despite Duncanville’s narrow 36-34 upset loss, Moore’s playmaking ability shined through with his spectacular 51-yard catch-and-run touchdown. Bryant praised Moore's performance in a post on X, writing:

"..@Oregonfootball I’m at the game and I just saw DKM do some crazy shit for 6.. y’all got 1 for sure!"

Moore acknowledged Bryant’s high praise by retweeting the post with gratitude:

"appreciate you poppin out OG!! love foreal💯."

During his eight-season NFL career, Bryant established himself as one of the top receivers of his generation, with 7,459 receiving yards, 531 grabs, and 73 touchdowns. He remains the Dallas Cowboys' all-time receiving touchdown leader, surpassing legends such as Bob Hayes and Michael Irvin.

Meanwhile, Moore is ranked the No. 1 wide receiver in the country and the top recruit in Texas by ESPN.

The Duncanville Panthers saw their hopes for another state championship appearance dashed in that dramatic two-point loss to North Crowley. The game was a historic event for North Crowley, which became the first Fort Worth school to win a UIL state championship at the highest level since 1948.

North Crowley came out firing, jumping to a 15-0 lead in the first quarter. Duncanville clawed back and took a 21-15 advantage midway through the third quarter, but their lead was short-lived. North Crowley’s timely plays proved too much, ending Duncanville’s streak of consecutive state title game appearances dating back to 2020.

Despite the loss, Dakorien Moore shined brightly by hauling in seven receptions for 138 yards and a touchdown, averaging an impressive 19.71 yards per catch. His performance capped off an outstanding season that earned him the District 11-6A Offensive Player of the Year award.

Moore’s high school career may have ended on a bittersweet note, but his future is full of promise. He signed with the Oregon Ducks during the early signing period on Dec. 4 and is expected to make his college debut on August 30 when Oregon opens its season against Montana State.
