Meleek Thomas is one of the most sought-after five-star prospects from the 2025 Class. He has had a hot start with his Overtime Elite squad, the City Reapers. During a game against Air Nado last October 8, he kept trash-talking its players.

While defending an opposing player, Thomas can be heard shouting that "he's scared as hell," leading to a forced turnover. He then continued the trash talk to one opponent.

"You a fake 4-star, I got 5," he said.

When his opponent told him that Thomas had to show that he deserved those 5 stars, the 6-foot-4 shooting guard responded by pointing to his stats.

"I got 24 and it ain't look like I did s***. I don't gotta show you s***," he said. "You know me, I don't know you."

Meleek Thomas had an impressive game against Air Nado, an elite youth basketball team based in Nevada. The five-star prospect recorded 23 points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals. He was 7 for 7 from mid-range and 2 for 5 from beyond the arc.

He and the City Reapers won that game in dominating fashion, 108-72. The team also won their previous game against the Florida Rebels 94-84. Thomas had 26 points, seven rebounds and four steals during that game.

These are still preseason games, with the City Reapers taking on Shahbaz Elite inside the OTE Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 16.

Meleek Thomas narrows down to his top 7 schools

Even though he is not playing for any high school during his senior year, Meleek Thomas is still eligible to go to college, as there is also a school element for players playing at Overtime Elite.

While several schools have offered him scholarships, the shooting guard has narrowed down his choices to seven schools: Arkansas, Alabama, UConn, Auburn, Kansas, Kansas State and Pittsburgh.

On3 predicts his hometown school, Pitt, with a 22.0% chance of acquiring his commitment.

The Pittsburgh native is ranked the No. 8 player nationally for the Class of 2025. He is the No. 2 ranked shooting guard from his class and the No. 2 guard in Georgia.
