The 46th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Cam Christie was picked by his brother's rival team, the Los Angeles Clippers. Christie's elder brother Max Christie plays for the LA Lakers and was picked by them in the 2022 NBA Draft.

After Max Christie made an appearance in the "Sloane Knows" podcast a month ago, his younger brother Cam Christie was also featured on the podcast on Oct. 8, talking about various aspects of his career. During the podcast, Cam Christie was asked about making it into the NBA, coming from a "clouty," high school class. This is what the Rolling Meadows, Illinois, native said (4:24 - 5:09):

"I mean it was always funny cause you would talk about it with my friends and stuff. Bronny James obviously is in the NBA now, but he had a lot of fame back then. He still does," Christie said. "Same with Mikey and all those guys. I mean, it was definitely interesting for sure."
"For me to be in the NBA and be on the same stage as a lot of those guys, I think it's pretty cool, and I think it shows you know my work ethic and kind of how you don't necessarily need the fame in order to get where you want to go.
