Oregon five-star wide receiver signee Dakorien Moore has reacted in one word to new transfer Emmanuel Pregnon's commitment to the program. Pregnon was the No. 1 inside offensive lineman on the transfer portal, leaving the USC Trojans after two years in Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Moore shared the news of Pregnon’s commitment to Oregon on his Instagram story and captioned it:
“HAHAHAAAA.”
Pregnon, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound offensive lineman, can come in handy for Dan Lanning’s offensive line room following the departure of Josh Conerly and Marcus Harper II. The former USC man joins former Nevada offensive lineman Isaiah World and former Texas State offensive lineman Alex Harkey as Oregon’s new offensive linemen.
Dakorien Moore’s recruitment and what he brings to the Oregon Ducks
Dakorien Moore is a five-star wide receiver from Duncanville High School in Duncanville, Texas. Moore became his class' leading wide receiver prospect, leading his high school team to three consecutive state championships. He ended his senior year with a 13-1 record after losing the state championship game to North Crowley.
Nonetheless, Moore was named the District 11-6A Offensive Player of the Year. He made 44 receptions in his sophomore season for 764 yards and six touchdowns. He improved to 71 receptions for 1,523 yards and 18 touchdowns in his junior season. Moore is also a track runner, being a member of Duncanville’s 4 x 200 meters relay team together with LSU running back Caden Durham. The team set a national high school record.
Moore is the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2025 class per On3 Industry Ranking. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound wide receiver is swift enough to get past opponents.
Moore will join the Ducks for his freshman season and is expected to make an immediate impact. Dan Lanning’s program has enjoyed consistent top performance since he took over the reins in 2021. However, it hasn't tasted playoff success after losing the National Championship Game to Michigan in 2024 and the Rose Bowl to Ohio State on Jan. 1.
Notwithstanding, Lanning will be expected to replicate his regular-season magic next fall. And with his success in the 2025 recruitment cycle, landing elite prospects like Dakorien Moore, playoff success may be within grasp.
