Since his appointment as coach in 2022, the Duke Blue Devils have roped in 12 five-star recruits to their roster. We took stock of the top five-star prospects for the Blue Devils in the last three years.

#5 Isaiah Evans
The six-foot-six forward from North Mecklenburg is a 5-star recruit who committed for the Blue Devils in 2023.
Ranked as the No. 1 player in North Carolina by ESPS, Isaiah Evans has proved his mettle time and again with his skills. The 18-year-old secured 188 points in the 2024 state playoffs, averaging 31.3 points per game.
#4 Khaman Maluach
A new joinee in the Blue Devil’s ranks, Khaman Maluach is a leading 5-star recruit. His towering seven-foot-one figure and an astounding seven-foot-five wingspan make him a challenge on the court.
The 18-year-old South Sudan native steered his team to an Olympic qualification, which speaks highly of his skills. He's ranked by 247Sports at no. 4 in the top recruits of 2024. According to Eric Bossi, the national basketball director, Maluach could have been a big name already if he had played high school basketball in the USA
#3 Dariq Whitehead
The six-foot-seven forward from the Montverde Academy (Fla) is another promising 5-star recruit for the Blue Devils.
Ranked third in top recruits of 2022 (247sports), Whitehead had played 23 games, making seven starts. His swiftness across the court, strong rebounds and ability to score from all three levels of the court make him a formidable player.
#2 Cameron Boozer
According to Adam Finkelstein, the director of scouting, Cameron Boozer is unmatched in terms of his ability to turn the tide for his team.
The Blue Devils got a major uplift to their roster, as Boozer decided to commit for them. A Miami, FL, native, the six-foot-eight forward is a no. 2 recruit in the class of 2025, as per 247Sports.
#1 Cooper Flagg
At the top spot in our list is Cooper Flagg, one of the brightest 5-star recruits the Duke Blue Devils have ever added to their team.
Ranked the no. 1 recruit in the class of 2024 by both 247Sports and ESPN, Flagg was instrumental for Montverde Academy’s stunning 33-0 record. A winner of Gatorade National Player of the Year, Copper also impressed at the Nike EYBL Peach Jam event, averaging 25.5 points.
