Four-star edge rusher Katrell Webb, from Collins Hill High School in Georgia, is one of the rising stars in the 2026 class. He has already received offers from Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Auburn, UCF, LSU, Ole Miss, Missouri, Kentucky and Arkansas, among others.
During his sophomore season in 2023, the 6-foot-2, 230-pound Webb recorded 39 tackles, 12 tackles for losses, eight quarterback hurries, five sacks and a fumble recovery while also catching two passes for 70 yards and one touchdown. He is ranked as the No. 30 edge rusher in the 2026 class and the No. 35 prospect in Georgia, according to On3.
Katrell Webb is set to announce his commitment decision on Nov. 21. Let's see which three programs have the most potential to earn his pledge.
Top 3 programs vying for Katrell Webb's commitment
#3. Michigan
Michigan extended an offer to Katrell Webb in late April after observing his performance at Collins Hill High. The Wolverines' reputation for developing defensive talent has caught his attention.
“That D-line is nasty,” Webb told On3. “I like what they’re doing right now. They’re going to produce a lot of NFL talent this upcoming season. I know they’re going to get a lot of draft takes on that D-line. So, it’s definitely a good thing in my mind. It’s a great thing.”
Webb’s interest in Michigan is also fueled by his desire to visit The Big House, either this summer or during a game. The Wolverines have already secured commitments from quarterback Brady Hart and cornerback Brody Jennings for the 2026 class.
#2. Tennessee
Tennessee has emerged as a serious contender for Katrell Webb’s commitment, with the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine giving it a 13.4% chance. The Volunteers offered Webb a scholarship in May, marking them as the seventh SEC school to do so.
"I love my connection with Tennessee right now," Webb told Rivals. "I can get on the phone with them and talk every day and it doesn’t even have to be about ball. I camped with the Tennessee last year and really impressed them as a freshman."
Webb unofficially visited Tennessee for spring practice and returned for a visit in June, where the coaching staff’s enthusiasm and professionalism impressed him.
"Coach Robert (Ayers) is definitely one of my favorite coaches so I can't wait to get up there and work with him," Webb said. "Tennessee is also one of the schools I grew up watching."
Tennessee has quarterback Faizon Brandon and tight end Carson Sneed committed to its 2026 class.
#1. Georgia
Georgia is currently the frontrunner for Webb’s commitment, with a 29.2% chance, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. The program extended an offer to the prospect on July 29.
Hailing from Suwanee, Georgia, Katrell Webb’s proximity to Athens is the most favorable factor for the program to secure Webb's pledge. Georgia’s lack of commitments for the 2026 class means the Dawgs have ample opportunity to focus on him.
