The Hurricanes have been heavily involved in Ben Hanks Jr.'s recruitment, hosting him a total of seven times, including an official visit on June 21. The program's cornerback coach, Chevis Jackson, and defensive coordinator, Lance Guidry, have been leading the charge.
Miami’s 2025 class is ranked No. 12 in the nation and No. 3 in the ACC, featuring 20 committed prospects. All signs point to Florida as the frontrunner in the race for Ben Hanks Jr.’s commitment. 247Sports' Crystal Ball predictions favor the Gators, and On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine gives Florida a 94.2% chance of securing Hanks’ pledge.
Florida has hosted Hanks three times, including an official visit on June 7. The Gators also have a unique advantage, as Hanks is the son of Ben Hanks Sr., who played linebacker for Florida from 1992 to 1995 before his NFL career.
“With my dad going here, they’ll always be a good school — a good fit with me,” Hanks told Gators Wire.
On3’s Corey Bender has also indicated that NIL opportunities could be a significant factor in Ben Hanks Jr.'s decision to favor Florida.
