USA Basketball held its junior minicamp in Colorado Springs from Oct. 11-13, featuring some of the best high school talents across the country. Eighty-two elite athletes participated in the minicamp - held at the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Center - alongside players from the high school graduating classes of 2025, 2026, 2027, and 2028.

The training allows USA Basketball executives to gauge the talent of up-and-coming athletes for the U16, U17, and U18 international tournaments. It also enables NBA scouts and executives to keep an eye out for possible future draft picks. Several scouts from various NBA teams were spotted watching the minicamp.

Of the 82 high school basketball standouts invited to participate, a select few stood out.

Top 3 high school basketball stars who impressed during the USA Basketball junior minicamp

3) Caleb Holt

Caleb Holt has been impressing many at the USA Basketball minicamp since Day 1. The No. 4 ranked overall player for the class of 2026 by 247Sports is no stranger to international competition, having won the U17 FIBA World Cup in Turkey over the summer.

The Georgia native can both defend and score, being described as a lock-down defender and a three-level scorer who can score in multiple areas, including from behind the 3-point line. In an interview with Yahoo Sports, he stated that he wanted to prove that he was one of the best guards in the country, and he showed that he could not only shoot and defend but also pass.

The shooting guard already has offers from several schools, including UConn, Baylor, Alabama, Kentucky, and more.

2) Kiyan Anthony

Kiyan Anthony is the son of the man considered one of USA Basketball's greatest players, Carmelo Anthony, and he recently went with his father to Paris to watch the Olympics. He also won gold during the U17 FIBA World Cup in Turkey last summer, so he is more than familiar with international play.

During training camp, the scouts noted that Kiyan has gotten a bit stronger since last season, but he can still improve in that department. He also showed better ball handling and had become better at making decisions. He is still a dynamic scorer, showing he can go against other top players.

The 4-star forward from Long Island Lutheran is ranked the No. 34 player for the class of 2025 by 247Sports. He is now down to his final three schools, Syracuse, Auburn, and USC.

1) Chris Cenac Jr.

Like Kiyan Anthony and Caleb Holt, Cenac is no stranger to USA Basketball. He was also part of the tournament-winning USA Basketball U17 team during the FIBA U17 World Cup. The No. 10 ranked 5-star center by 247Sports showed he had a lot of potential, as he knows how to utilize his size and length well during the minicamp.

The No. 1 ranked center for the class of 2025 was seen as moving well for his size during the camp, showing that he could pass and even lead the break.

He will decide between Auburn, Arkansas, Baylor, Houston, LSU, Kentucky and Tennessee as his final seven school choices.
