The 2025 Spalding Army National Guard Hoophall Classic started on Thursday and will be concluded next Monday. As we head into days 3 and 4 of the tournament this weekend, the excitement is only set to grow with even more thrilling matchups.
So, if you've not been following the tournament before now, you might want to dial in for these weekend encounters.
Here are the top three matchups you wouldn't want to miss:
3. Grayson v Sierra Canyon
No. 15-ranked Grayson will be taking on Sierra Canyon on Saturday. Going into the game, Grayson is currently on a 17-1 record and hasn't lost any of their last eight games. Sierra Canyon holds a 15-3 record and has won its last four games.
Judging from the quality of both teams, it will not be far-fetched to expect a close contest. Both teams have also scored at least 60 points in their last five games, so we may be looking at an entertaining, high-scoring encounter.
Five-star junior Caleb Holt, who is ranked No. 3 in the 2026 class, will be in action for Grayson and may end up being the difference maker. He will be facing off against Sierra Canyon's Gavin Hightower, who is hoping to lead the Trailblazers to victory. Lebron James' son, Bryce James, may also have the chance to feature for Sierra Canyon in that game.
2. Columbus v. Notre Dame
The Columbus-Notre Dame game also takes place on Saturday, right before Grayson faces off against Sierra Canyon. No. 2 ranked Columbus will be going into the game as slight favorites. However, Notre Dame, which has won its last four games and is currently on a 17-2 record, will not be making it an easy ride for the Explorers.
All eyes will be on the Boozers, Cameron and Cayden Boozer, alongside highly rated five-star juniors Jaxon Richardson and Caleb Gaskins, who are all capable of making a difference in this game. No. 1 ranked junior Tyran Stokes will be hoping he can lead the Knights to an underdog upset.
1. Utah Prep v. Montverde
No. 1 ranked AJ Dybantsa will be leading Utah Prep as they face Montverde on Sunday in a game that is shaping up to be a clash of titans. No. 4 ranked Montverde is currently on an 11-2 record while Utah prep, who are currently ranked fifth, have a 16-4 record.
With AJ, Utah Prep appears to be the favorite in this matchup. However, the Eagles are more than capable of pulling off an upset.
