Day 2 of the Border League, one of the most important preseason tournaments in high school basketball, had plenty of great games and individual performances over at Las Vegas, Nevada. But which players stood out during the second day of competition on Saturday?

There were certainly some big reasons why players would want to show their best game during the Border League, as coaches and scouts from some of the biggest colleges and universities around the country were present. For those not yet scouted, this may be their best time to shine.

As for those who have already committed or have whittled their list down to their top choices, it is also a good time to assure these coaches and scouts that they have chosen the correct player to offer.

Top 5 players during Border League Day 2

5) Caleb Gaskins, 5-Star Small Forward, Florida Eagles (Montverde Academy)

Montverde Academy has a lot to prove during this year's Border League, as this is the first one since Cooper Flagg graduated. Picking things up for the defending champions is five-star forward, Caleb Gaskins, who is set to have a breakout year and get out of Flagg's lingering shadow. He finished the game with 22 points against The Vale.

4) Cameron Boozer, 5-Star Power Forward, Explorers

Day 2 was yet another solid outing for Cameron Boozer and the Explorers as they defeated Iowa United Prep 57-43. The son of NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer had 22 points, seven rebounds and five steals and showed that he can also hit shots from deep, going 4 of 7 from the 3-point line.

3) Brayden Burries, 5-Star Shooting Guard, The Vale

Despite the losing effort against the defending champions Montverde Academy, Breyden Burries was able to impress many coaches and scouts. The still-uncommitted shooting guard had a slow start but kept the game close, exploding to 36 points and seven rebounds.

He was one of the most efficient players during Border League Day 2 and was effective in scoring against the Florida Eagles' defenders.

2) AJ Dybantsa, 5-Star Small Forward, Utah Prep

As many had expected, AJ Dybantsa once again delivered, torching the Florida Rebels with a double-double performance of 20 points and 12 rebounds, with five assists. It was closer than many anticipated, however, as the Florida Rebels refused to be put away, with the final score being 64-58.

Nevertheless, it was the No. 1 ranked recruit from the Class of 2025 who took over, playing point forward and orchestrating much of his team's offensive plays.

1) Darius Bivins, 4-Star Point Guard, Bishop O'Connell

A plucky four-star point guard was perhaps the best performer during Day 2 of the Border League, with Darius Bivins, the No. 89-ranked player in the Class of 2026, having a monster performance with a double-double during a dominating 67-43 win against Dons Basketball.

Bivins finished the night with 22 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and five steals, showing that he could not just score but also defend. He was also an effective half-court general and a great transition player during the game.
