The Border League, the most important preseason tournament in high school basketball, wrapped up its three-day Las Vegas leg on Sunday with plenty of great games, including a thriller between the Explorers and Utah Prep.
Plenty of players shined on the third day, impressing the coaches and scouts present and making their case for scholarship offers. But who performed the best on day 3?
Top 5 players from Border League Day 3
5) Jalen Reece, 4-star Point Guard, Florida Rebels
The Florida Rebels may have ended 0-3 during the Las Vegas leg of the Border League, but Jalen Reece impressed many.
The LSU commit from Oak Ridge High School in Florida shone, albeit in a losing effort to Skyline Prep High School. He attacked the lane and showed his attribute of deadly play from the outside. He has been relatively consistent during the tournament, too.
4) Jermaine O'Neal Jr., 4-Star Small Forward, Dynamic Prep
The son of former NBA All-Star Jermaine O'Neal showed his pedigree during Dynamic Prep's narrow loss to defending champions the Florida Eagles, also known as Montverde Academy.
The SMU commit used his athleticism to punish the Eagles down the lane and showed that he can finish efficiently against one of the best high school basketball teams. He also showcased his perimeter shooting and finished the game with 18 points and three steals.
3) Cameron Boozer, 5-Star Power Forward, Explorers
Cameron Boozer had another impressive performance during day 3, though his rival AJ Dybantsa outperformed him during their 68-69 loss to Utah Prep.
Despite being a bit controlled by his rival during the first half, Cameron ended the game with a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds during the third day of the Border League.
He broke through Utah Prep's defenses around the second half, using his size and strength to attack the basket, though it was not enough to secure a win.
2) Cayden Boozer, 5-Star Point Guard, Explorers
While many often talk about his twin brother Cameron, Cayden—the other half of the Boozer Twins—showed he is just as good as his No. 2-ranked prospect sibling. On day three, Cayden had his best game of the Border League, causing issues for opposing guards and using his size and strength to his advantage.
Cayden ended the game with almost a double-double, scoring 17 points and had nine assists in their losing effort to AJ Dybantsa and Utah Prep. However, while Dybantsa could keep Cameron in check, their opponents' guards had no answer for the strong and athletic Cayden, who could both pass and score.
1) AJ Dybantsa, 5-Star Small Forward, Utah Prep
After a string of defeats against the Boozer Twins, Cameron and Cayden, AJ Dybantsa - the No. 1-ranked prospect from the class of 2025 - finally outdid the duo during day 3 in a closely contested match.
While the Boozer brothers made strong impressions on the court, Dybantsa stood a level higher in his performance that day, finishing with 28 points, four rebounds, and two assists.
Dybantsa showed why he was ranked the consensus No. 1 prospect during the final day of Border League Las Vegas. He outplayed No. 2 prospect Cameron, helping the Utah Prep hold him to just 8 points in the first half and forcing him to miss several high-percentage shots.
