High school football has wrapped up for the 2024 season, but a multitude of all-star games, including the Under Armour All-American Game, have commenced. Plenty of top recruits and signees participate in its activities, such as practice, the game itself and more.

Alabama signee Keelon Rusell is an Under Armour All-American and will be competing in the game. He's reportedly been one of the top performers thus far. The game will take place at 4 p.m. EST on Thursday in Deland, Florida.

Keelon Russell breakdown

Keelon Russell of Duncanville (Texas) High School threw for 10,037 yards and 115 touchdowns to only 17 interceptions, while carrying the ball 144 times for 882 yards and 12 touchdowns, in his high school career.

In 2022, Russell quarterbacked Duncanville to a 15-0 season that concluded with a state championship. In 2023, he contributed to Duncanville's 14-1 season that ended with another state title. For the 2024 season, he threw for 4,177 yards and 55 touchdowns to five interceptions while carrying the ball 34 times for 318 yards and three TDs.

Keelon Russell is rated as a five-star recruit, the No. 1 player in Texas, the second-ranked quarterback and the No. 2 player overall in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports. He accumulated over 20 offers from powerhouse programs like Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Florida.

Russell originally committed to SMU but flipped to Alabama.

The 6-foot-3, 175-pounder is a dynamic quarterback with the ability to extend plays when the pocket is breaking down and deliver accurate throws. He displays a lot of athleticism and speed, also competing in track and field. Some of the awards and accolades that he's achieved are Elite 11 Finals recognition and being named an Under Armour All-American.

Alabama recruiting breakdown

The Alabama Crimson Tide have the second-ranked 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports. The class features 21 signees, three of which are five-star prospects along with a plethora of four-stars.
