Amidst the controversy between HYBE and Min Hee-jin, NewJeans' live stream on YouTube further added fuel to the feud. HYBE's ongoing dispute with Min Hee-jin, ex-CEO of ADOR, has intensified this year, revolving around accusations that Hee-jin is trying to gain control of ADOR and NewJeans.
The situation escalated in August when Min stepped down as CEO, though she continued to oversee NewJeans' content production. This change in management triggered dissatisfaction among the group members.
On September 11, NewJeans members came online and demanded Hee-jin's reinstatement by September 25. During their YouTube livestream, they expressed concerns over their creative process, highlighting incidents of discomfort with HYBE's management.
Henceforth, several artists from the South Korean entertainment industry have come forward to support NewJeans via their social media.
