September is packed for fans with several exciting K-pop releases, much like August, which had Jeon Somi's Ice Cream to IVE's second Japan EP Alive, making the month quite humming and active.
This new month, on the other hand, has a lot to share gradually. While fans can see some outstanding comebacks and collaborations, some fresh solo tracks are also on the list.
Beginning the month of September, American rapper Megan Thee Stallion's Instagram post - mentioning RM and their new collaboration - has already created a buzz among the artists' fans. Meanwhile, rookie group BOYNEXTDOOR is about to share its fresh release.

1) BTS RM x Megan Thee Stallion: Neva Play
BTS' leader RM has collaborated with Hiss rapper Megan Thee Stallion for their upcoming song Neva Play. The announcement of this K-pop release has generated significant excitement among fans, particularly following a social media post by Megan, where she praised RM's rapping skills, stating,
"NEVA PLAY WITH RM OUT FRIDAY HOTTIES X ARMY #MEGJOON. ps. This is one of my favorite RM verses I’ve heard! I’ve never heard him rap in this style before."
Hints of a new duet first surfaced when Megan tweeted a series of cryptic emojis, including a purple heart, which sparked the speculation that BTS might be involved. The following day, BTS confirmed the collaboration by retweeting her post with their playful emojis, where the koala signaled the partnership between Megan and RM.
However, this is not the first time these two have collaborated. Previously, the American rapper brought a twist to the BTS song Butter in 2021 and later surprised the fans with her appearance at the live performance of BTS in LA.
2) TWICE's Tzuyu: Run Away
TWICE’s youngest member, Tzuyu, is set to release her highly anticipated solo debut. Following in the footsteps of her fellow bandmates Nayeon and Jihyo, Tzuyu is ready to captivate fans with her first solo mini-album, titled AbouTZU. The album is scheduled for release on September 6 at 1 PM KST.
On August 1, JYP Entertainment, TWICE's agency, shared a teaser of the upcoming K-pop release of AbouTZU, generating buzz among fans. Featuring Tzuyu in a satin blue gown, it hints at a mysterious and ethereal concept for the album.
In the trailer, the voice of Tzuyu can be heard, saying,
“On a day unseen by anyone, you will witness it. I’m a believer, a dreamer. Trust Me.”
The clip ends with Tzuyu playfully asking, “So, are you ready?” as she mimics shooting an invisible bow and arrow, leaving fans intrigued and excited for what's to come.

3) EXO's Baekhyun: Pineapple Slice
EXO's Baekhyun is set to release his solo music from his fourth mini album Hello, World. Pineapple Slice, the upcoming K-pop release from the album, is scheduled for release on September 6 at 6 PM KST.
This marks Baekhyun's first solo music release in approximately three and a half years, following his last album Bambi in 2021. The news of his solo comeback was officially announced on August 12 via Baekhyun’s social media channels, instantly generating excitement among fans.
Prior to the album release, this K-pop idol has been teasing fans with a series of promotional social media posts and YouTube teasers. On September 3rd, at midnight KST, a new set of teaser photos was unveiled, featuring Baekhyun gazing into the camera before looking away.
The teasers suggest a thematic focus of greeting or reintroducing himself to the world, in line with the album's title, Hello, World.
4) BOYNEXTDOOR: 19.99
BOYNEXTDOOR, the rookie boy group, is set to make a highly anticipated comeback with their third EP, 19.99, on September 9, 2024, at 6 PM KST.
Prior to the release, the group has shared a retro-themed teaser, featuring an old keypad phone with a countdown, hinting at their forthcoming K-pop release.
19.99 marks the group’s first comeback since their previous EP, HOW? in April 2024. Ahead of the full release, BOYNEXTDOOR is scheduled to drop a pre-release track, Dangerous, on September 2, which the boy group will promote on music shows, starting with Mnet’s M Countdown on September 5.
5) FIFTY FIFTY: Love Tune
The popular girl group FIFTY FIFTY has announced the upcoming K-pop release of their new mini album titled LOVE TUNE, which is set to launch on September 20 at 1 PM KST.
The album's cover features the title LOVE TUNE embroidered in pink, reflecting the group's logo color and hinting at a fresh, new style that fans can expect. Ahead of the album drop, FIFTY FIFTY pre-released a track called Starry Night on August 30, which has already garnered significant attention.
The song's official music video quickly climbed to number one on YouTube's trending music chart, showcasing the group's ability to captivate fans with their unique charm and versatility.
