Some Korean star couples have made their relationship longer, converting them into marriage. In Gyo-jin and So Yi-Hyun are one of them, who met each other at the set and decided to marry after dating.
Eugene, on the other hand, met his husband Ki Tae-young on the set of Making Relationship and continued the relationship. While such relationships of Korean star couples excite fans, some couples cannot make it.

1) Karina aespa and Lee Jae-wook
In January 2024, Yu Ji-min, a.k.a. Karina aespa, and Lee Jae-wook met each other for the first time at Milan Fashion Week while attending Prada's show. After returning from Milan, both artists started meeting each other in Seol and they were spotted late at night near their neighborhood.
Later, both the agencies of Karina aespa and Lee Jae-wook confirmed the news that these two are dating, marking them as a Korean star couple. Aespa's agency, SM Entertainment, made an announcement,
"The two are now at the stage of getting to know each other."
However, after the official news came out, the fans started reacting negatively. A handwritten letter was sent to Karina's agency, noting,
"Is the love given to you by your fans not enough?"
After this incident, Karina and the agency posted an apology. In April, the agencies of these two announced the official split, saying that this Korean star couple was suffering fan backlash and mental issues.
CJes Studio, the agency of Lee Jae Wook, noted in a press release,
"Actor Lee Jae Wook decided to break up with Karina to concentrate on work. The two of them will continue to support each other as colleagues working in the same industry,”
This Korean star couple ended their relationship in a stint of five weeks.

2) Ahn Bo Hyun and Jisoo BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK member Jisoo and South Korean actor Ahn Bo Hyun used to be a Korean star couple but they broke up before celebrating their first anniversary. In August 2023, the agencies of these two, and South Korean media outlets confirmed the news as well.
The news announced that Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun have been seeing each other since May and both of them were spotted at Yongsan, the abode of Jisoo. They kept the news private as the idol said that they were in a phase of getting to know each other slowly.
Jisoo confirmed her dating news by saying to the Dispatch,
"I'm cautious because it's the beginning stage, and I like it. It's in the process of getting to know little by little."
However, in October 2023, a South Korean TV network, JBTC, published an article mentioning the split of this Korean star couple. Later, YG Entertainment, the agency of Jisoo, confirmed the news and said,
"It is true that Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun broke up."

3) Kai EXO and BLACKPINK Jennie
Another star Korean couple who broke up in a short stint is Exo Kai and Blackpink Jennie. In 2018, this Korean star couple was seen together before the official announcement of their relationship on January 1, 2019.
A few months ago, these two were spotted on the highway near the Hapjeong subway station. The hints of their relationship came to fans while Jennie and Kai were pictured strolling and driving.
In December, Kai came to Jennie's house to meet her after his trip from Hawaii. However, their agencies confirmed their breakup on January 25, 2019, saying these two had separated due to their busy schedule.
4) Lee Dong Wook and Suzy
Tale of the Nine-Tailed actor Lee Dong-wook was in a relationship with former Miss A group member Suzy. In 2018, both stars started to see each other after meeting in a casual gathering.
Before their relationship, Bae Suzy told to SBS’s Strong Heart that she had a thing for Lee Dong-wook. A few months later, these two began their relationship and were marked as one of the most good-looking Korean star couples.
However, after four months of their relationship, their agencies announced the official breakup of this couple. King Kong by Starship, which is the agency of Lee Dong-wook, said,
“It’s true that Lee Dong Wook and Suzy have broken up. They naturally grew apart as they became busier.”
On the other hand, JP Entertainment which manages Suzy, added,
“It’s true that [Suzy] has broken up with Lee Dong Wook. Because they both had busy schedules, it was difficult for them to meet, and they naturally ended up going their separate ways.”
5) Lee Min Ho and Park Min Young
Lee Min Ho, one of the hottest Korean actors, continued dating his co-actor Park Min Young for a short period. Healer actress Min Young and Lee Min Ho were working on the same project, named City Hunter, in 2011. On the set of this drama, they both became good friends.
In August 2011, some news outlets and their agencies confirmed dating news of this Korean star couple and it lasted for some months only. In January 2012, Park Min Young's representative said,
“It’s been a while since they saw each other. It was really embarrasing for her to just go and reveal their break-up, and she didn’t want to put her agency in a sticky stituation. So, she held the news a little longer”.
With a short stint of their relationship, this Korean star couple could not celebrate their first dating anniversary.

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo stars Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung come under the list as well. They developed off-screen chemistry after the K-drama, but within 4 months, this couple announced their split.
