APT is based on a Korean drinking game, Apartment, and while making the song, Rose had some self-conflict with the theme. In a Vogue interview, she said,

" I remember going home [from the studio] kind of freaked out. Is this OK, that I’ve written a song about a drinking game?"

However, the song came out as a hit pop track after its release. In a pink background, Rose sings the tracks while Bruno Mars is spotted playing drums behind. Bruno joins the BLACKPINK member and croons,

"It's whatever (Whatever), it's whatever (Whatever)/ It's whatever (Whatever) you like (Woo)/ Turn this apateu into a club (Uh-huh, uh-huh)/ I'm talkin' drink, dance, smoke, freak, party all night (Come on)/ Geonbae, geonbae, girl, what's up? Oh-oh, oh"

While the BLACKPINK member Lisa's bold attire and blonde hair illustrate a powerful figure, the lyrics back the visuals. Lisa sings,

"‘Here I go. Bangin‘ it, bangin’ it, wanna crack these walls. Bangin‘ it, bangin’ it, wanna echo through the halls. Pullin‘ up, fresh face, brand new day"
