Jisoo collaborated with Vince and Teddy Park for the lyrics and wrote:

"You and I, crimsonly burned down/ I'm okay, would you be as well? / On a beautiful day without a single cloud."

Rose, another BLACKPINK member, released her solo track On the Ground in 2021 from her solo album R. The song was quite personal to the member as it depicts her struggle to cope with the frustration that comes from the quarter-life crisis, meeting the expectations of fans.

At the YouTube's Released, she explained:

"Basically the song is kind of about looking for answers in life, for a purpose in life, and I feel like people, especially these days, can relate to it. Sometimes when you’re always kind of on that roll, you kind of forget to take care of what actually matters to you most, and it’s just a song that says that everything we need is already within us."

She further said:

"But I think it’s a very powerful song and I’m just excited for my fans to hear and get something out of it."

In the lyrics of the song, Rose reflects on her childhood memories, past self, dreams, and personal identity. The song reached the top of the Billboard Global 200 chart and currently boasts 366 million views on YouTube and 453 million plays on Spotify.

6) Rockstar

BLACKPINK member Lisa debuted her solo track Rockstar in June 2024, which became one of the popular solo songs of the year. With over 150 million views on YouTube and 193 million plays on Spotify, Lisa has set the record, as the song garnered 20 million views on a very fast day.

Along with Brittany Amaradio, James Essien, Lucy Healey, Ryan Tedder, and Sam Homaee, the song was co-written by the BLACKPINK member Lisa. The track is a collaborative production of Lisa's own company Lloud and RCA, a global recording agency.

The presentation of Rockstar is slightly different from her other songs, establishing herself as a multilingual and international rapper. Although the lyrics lack uniqueness, the Thai backup dancer, Lisa's golden tooth, and the cyberpunk theme captured the audience's attention.

7) You & Me

After her solo track SOLO, Jennie launched her most awaited single track You & Me in October 2023. Apart from the original version, the song was released in the Coachella version, which ranked 18th in the Top 20 of Spotify's Global Top Songs chart.

The track You & Me blends BLACKPINK member Jennie's signature confidence with affection for an unnamed lover, highlighted by the chorus’s lines:

“I love you and me / Dancing in the moonlight.”

The song alternates between passionate infatuation and flirtatious self-assurance but falls short in its instrumentals, which are described as bland and overshadow Jennie’s vocals.

On YouTube, the song has 173 million views while Sportify counts 204 millions streams.

The solo endeavors of BLACKPINK members have showcased their individual talents and set numerous records in the music industry. Each member’s solo career has not only reinforced BLACKPINK's global influence but has also demonstrated their versatility and ability to captivate audiences worldwide.
