Throwing the first baseball pitch by a celebrity or politician became a regular event in the matches. In 1800, former US President Ronald Reagan kicked off the trend of honoring the guests present in the game venue.

In the pitching practice, the guest hurls the ball to the home team standing at the pitcher's mound. However, the event is done for entertainment purposes, the practice is called a ceremonial first pitch.

K-pop artists are no longer oblivious to this trend and often, they are spotted pitching the balls in the crucial matches. Recently, the BTS member J-Hope, supporting Kia Tigers, reached his home baseball ground to throw his first baseball pitch.

Girls' Generation's Tiffany, Cosmic Girls' Cheng Xiao, and other K-pop artists have hurled their first baseball pitch, making the matches more interesting.
