Spotify has become a ubiquitous platform for listening to K-pop artists. Along with different features, a K-pop music accolade can explore the platform based on the K-pop idols' ranking. This application creates K-pop artists' accounts, showcasing their total followers and monthly listeners.

Despite being on a hiatus, the band has 26 million monthly listeners. Dynalite, My Universe, and Butter are some of the popular songs of this boy band, which garnered over 1 billion streams on this platform. Additionally, Left and Right, the collaborative track of Charlie Puth and Jungkook, has surpassed a billion plays.

This seven-member boy band ranks 189th in the world.

2) BLACKPINK

In August 2024, the popular girl group BLACKPINK celebrated its 8th debut anniversary. The girl group ranks second among K-pop artists on Spotify, with 51 million followers and 15 million monthly listeners.

Pink Venom, Shit Down, DDU DU DDU DU are some of its most played songs on Spotify. While these songs have surpassed a hefty amount of views, How You Like That, one of the most popular from The Album surpasses a billion streams.

3) TWICE

TWICE is another band that features among the most followed K-pop artists on Spotify. With 20 million followers, the band ranks in third position in the list. It has 8 million monthly listeners.

What is Love? The Feel and FANCY are some of the popular songs of this nine-member group and all of them have reached a million plays. The group has made a hat trick by winning Song of the Year Daesang at MAMA for consecutively three years.

4) Kim Taehyung

In the fourth position, Kim Taehyung shines with 18 million followers. As one of the most-followed K-pop artists on Spotify, he has 5 million monthly listeners. Apart from being a crucial member of BTS, Kim Taehyung or V has established himself as a soloist.

Love Me Again is one of the tracks from his debut album Layover, which was released in 2023. Currently, this song has reached 878 million plays on this platform. However, his latest released track, FRI(END)S has set records by becoming the first solo song to surpass 300 million plays in 2024.

5) J-Hope

As the fifth most-followed K-pop star on Spotify, J-Hope has amassed 18 million followers, closely following BTS's V. Despite being on a hiatus, he garnered 3 million monthly users on this music-playing application.

The first Korean artist to perform in Lollapalooza, J-Hope, began his solo career in 2018 with Hope World, the first album to surpass 500 million plays on Spotify. With 199 million streams and counting, Chicken Noodle Soup marks his first Western collaboration with Becky G.

In 2022, MORE topped the Billboard's Emerging Artist Chart in the UK, counting 259 million plays.

6) RM

RM’s latest collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, Neva Play, has already garnered 95 million plays on Spotify. As one of the most-followed K-pop artists on this platform, Kim Nam-joon, or RM has 17 million followers with 2 million monthly listeners.

The K-pop idol has worked with numerous artists like Lil Nas X, HONNE, and more. In 2022, RM released his debut solo album Indigo which was announced as the album of the year by Billboard. However, he is the first male soloist who remained for 3 weeks in the Top 40 of Billboard Hot 100.

With six Grand Prizes, this K-pop artist has bagged numerous international awards including VMA, Billboard, TOTY Music Awards, and more. God's Menu is the debut track which was awarded a Gold Certificate by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), and has 384 million plays on the app.

8) Jungkook

Jeon Jungkook, the group's youngest member, is the eighth most followed K-pop artist on Spotify. His follower count reached 16 million while his monthly listeners crossed 19 million, which is comparatively higher than other most-followed K-pop idols.

With his solo tracks, this idol has broken numerous records. On November 3, 2023, he released the album Golden, which surpassed 4 billion plays on Spotify within 276 days and became the first K-pop album to earn the title.

After surpassing 800 million streams, Standing Next to You became the fastest and the first Korean track to earn this many plays. Left and Right and Seven are two popular tracks of Jungkook, which have reached billions of streams on this application.

With so many achievements, Jungkook became the fastest and first soloist to exceed 7 billion streams on Spotify.
