Apart from singing and performing, K-pop idols become prominent faces in the fashion industry as well. Nowadays, they get featured on the cover pages of renowned fashion magazines, highlighting their popularity as fashion mongers.

Whether it is a collaboration shoot or an upcoming video launch, these K-pop idols are often photographed alongside a long interview. This year has been no exception for the same. Recently, K-pop idol Jin has been in the news as he will be featured on the covers of the December issue of Vogue Japan and GQ Japan.

Furthermore, throughout this year, other K-pop idols, including Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, Taehyung, and others, also appeared on various magazine covers.

Recently discharged from his mandatory military service, BTS' Jin will be featured on the covers of two major fashion magazines - GQ Japan and Vogue Japan. Both magazines announced the K-pop idol as their cover celebrity for the December issue in September.

This year, Vogue is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its debut in Japan, and the December issue will be themed on 'Mode and Asia.' For the cover, Jin is photographed in casual outfits to signify his humble approach to a happy life.

On the other hand, GQ Japan will feature the K-pop idol on the cover story in a Gucci outfit along with a full-length interview. Both magazines will be available for pre-orders.


2) Jennie in Harper's Bazaar

BLACKPINK member Kim Jennie was highlighted on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine in its October issue. In different outfits, the K-pop idol was captured from Zoë Ghertner's lens, and styled by Carlos Nazario.

While the Mantra singer exhibited her model avatar in black-and-white outfits, she also shared her personal and professional life during the interview. Jennie introduced her solo career, discussed her latest solo tracks, and expressed the struggle she experienced during the preparation of Mantra.

Another BLACKPINK member, Rosé, was seen on the cover of the independent New York-based Paper Magazine. The K-pop idol recently collaborated with Bruno Mars and released her solo track APT. In the magazine's November issue, she discussed her latest song and her experience of working with a global artist.

In the images on the magazine cover, Rosé wears pastel-shaded outfits and poses with King Kong, sitting on the shoulder of the giant creature. The editor-in-chief of the magazine, Justine Moran explained the theme of the photoshoot via TikTok, sharing that King Kong represents the patriarchy, while Rosé's dominance over it highlights her boldness and carefree attitude.


4) Lisa in Vogue Korea

After collaborating with Spanish singer Rosalía on the track New Woman, Lisa, BLACKPINK member and LLoud owner, became the cover girl of Vogue Korea for the October issue. She posed before Jang Dukhwa's lens, wearing pieces from Louis Vuitton's Fall 2024 collection.

With four different cover images, the rapper and singer shared an interview about her latest collaborations, where she mentioned how she finds happiness with her cats and eating salted bread.

After a hiatus of seven years, G-Dragon recently made a comeback with his solo track Power. Being one of the prominent faces in the fashion industry, the K-pop idol experimented with his looks and attire on the cover page of Elle Korea's July issue.

The Chanel ambassador highlighted the 'baby girl' aesthetics with the house's outfits, featuring yellow sweaters with white ruffles, tweed jackets, and Mary Jane shoes. Further, in the interview, G-Dragon discussed his visit to a professor and his affairs with the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

For the Autumn issue, the independent media house Wonderland featured four members of SEVENTEEN—Mingyu, Vernon, Wonwoo, and The8. The magazine interviewed these four while being captured by Alexander Yeung's lens.

The interviewer, Elle Bardsley, introduced the band members as one of the best-selling K-pop groups. The SEVENTEEN members talked about their upcoming world tour and their 12th mini album, SPILL THE FEELS, on the horizon.


7) ENHYPEN's JUNGWON and Ni-Ki for L'Officiel Singapore

In April, luxury fashion magazine L'Officiel Singapore featured two members of ENHYPEN, JUNGWON and Ni-Ki, on the cover of the April issue. These two went to Singapore for the Bulgari Studio Event and had a detailed interview with this magazine.

For the cover images, the K-pop idols changed numerous outfits, from Jil Sander, Recto, GMBH, Andersson Bell, Songzio Homme, and others, and wore accessories from Bulgari, as Kim Minju photographed them. Additionally, these two fourth-generation K-pop idols expressed how proud they felt when they got the opportunity to perform before their parents.


8) BTS' V for Harper's Bazaar Korea

On January 10, Harper's Bazaar Korea teased the news of BTS' V as the cover boy for the February issue. The Celine spokesperson delivered three different pictures for the cover, while the aforementioned magazine uploaded a short video of the K-pop idol.

The shoot was done at a beach location, where V, or Taehyung, posed with a skateboard and his blue hair. In some shots, the idol went shirtless, wearing a sleek bracelet. Meanwhile, he was spotted wearing a puffer jacket in the behind-the-scenes video.


9) Stray Kids' Felix in Vogue Korea

Stray Kids' Felix was featured on the digital cover of Vogue Korea in February, which was a collaborative shoot between Bulgari perfume and the magazine. The fashion photographer Youngbae clicked him, while Hyemi Kwon and Hyunsoo Song were responsible for the styling of the K-pop idol.

The blonde-haired idol posed with the perfume bottle as his freckles showed prominently.
