The fifth and sixth episodes of the ongoing drama, A Virtuous Business, were released on October 26 and October 27, respectively, on the JBTC TV network and Netflix. The show stars Kim So-yeon, Kim Sun-young, Kim Sung-ryung, Lee Se-hee, and Yeon Woo-jin in leading roles, alongside a huge supporting cast. A Virtuous Business has a total of 12 episodes in the first season.
In the previous episode, the four ladies carried out surveys in Guemje to level up their sales. Cut to the latest, Kim Do-hyeon looks after Jeong-suk’s son, Min-ho, as a babysitter when she leaves for work. The story of Kim Do-hyeon also unfolds as he looks into an old arson case.
A Virtuous Business episode 5: Kim Do-hyeon delves into the arson case

Episode five of A Virtuous Business began with Jeong-suk and Kim Do-hyeon, as he dropped her off at a restaurant. While returning from the restaurant, Jeong-suk noticed that her husband had come back to Guemje. She followed him as he walked with Jeong-suk’s friend, Mi-hwa.
He saw Jeong-suk and came forward to talk to her. He told her that they should get back together. Jeong-suk was surprised, as Seong-su clearly had no remorse and refused to get back with him.
While they talked, Kim Do-hyeon overheard their conversation as he followed Jeong-suk to return her wallet to her, which she left in his car. Jeong-suk felt sad about her son, as he would have to stay away from his father, Seong-su.
The next day, Kim Do-hyeon met Jeong-suk and gave her wallet back to her. Following this, Ju-ri, Geum-hui, Jeong-suk, and Young-bok discussed the results of their surveys. While they were carrying out their meeting, Geum-hui’s husband arrived and challenged her to sell her products to the chairwoman.
Eventually, Oh Geum-hui managed to sell her products to the chairwoman with the help of Seo-yeon (the chairwoman's daughter) and proved her husband wrong.
Meanwhile, Do-hyeon investigated the arson case. While talking to his senior, the large burn scar on his hand was accidentally shown to him. In the following scene, Do-hyeon reflected on his journey to Guemje.
He enquired at the orphanage, and the caretaker informed him that a woman had saved him from a fire and left him in the orphanage. He put down more information about the woman and came to Geumje. He seemed to be looking for his biological mother.
One day, when the officers were having a meal, one of them discussed the arson case. But Seo Hyun-sik, Do-hyeon’s senior, said that it wasn’t anything important. He tried to end the topic, and it seemed strange to Do-hyeon.
Later in episode five of A Virtuous Business, Jeong-suk encountered Mi-hwa and her husband. Her husband told Jeong-suk that Mi-hwa was pregnant after many attempts. Jeong-suk was surprised by the news because she suspected it was Seong-su's child.
Jeong-suk returned home and found Seong-su playing with Min-ho. She talked to him privately and asked him why he had come home. Seong-su appeared to have no shame, and he boldly argued with her that all men cheat in their lives. Suddenly Jeong-suk revealed that Mi-hwa was pregnant. Seong-su refused to accept it and went on to ask her to get back with him again, pointing out that her life would be depressing as a single mother. She struck him fiercely, post which he left.
In the last scene of this episode, Jeong-suk made a difficult decision when she met Seong-su the next day. She told him to officially grant her a divorce.
A Virtuous Business episode 6: Jeong-suk gets divorced from Seong-su
The sixth episode of A Virtuous Business began with some childhood and teenage memories of Jeong-suk and Seong-su. After thinking over it again and again, Jeong-suk finally divorced Seong-su.
Ju-ri, Geum-hui, and Young-bok felt bad for Jeong-suk and they wanted to cheer her up. Therefore, they decided not to discuss about their husbands in front of Jeong-suk.
Following this, they went to meet the director of their firm, Fantast Lingerie. They were assigned another task of in-home sales on another island. They decided to go there together for some fresh air and also to earn more profits.
They went to the island and sold all the items. Although the women of the island seemed against their job and looked down on the four women, eventually the excitement took over and they bought everything.
In the meantime, Kim Do-hyeon came to Jeong-suk’s house to inquire about the 30-year-old arson incident. While he was talking to Jeong-suk’s mother, suddenly the phone rang. Jeong-suk’s mother received information that her son had met with an accident. She quickly left for the hospital, and requested Kim Do-hyeon to look after Min-ho.
At first, Min-ho thought Do-hyeon was an arrogant police officer, but eventually, they engaged with each other, played games together, and formed a good bond by the next day.
The next morning, Jeong-suk returned home and saw Do-hyeon at her place. She thanked him for taking care of her son. She offered her a meal, and after eating together, they left for a walk. Kim Do-hyeon revealed that he was adopted in the US, and he had come to Geumje to learn about his real family.
Later, Min-ho told Jeong-suk that Do-hyeon looked after him nicely. He even read a storybook for him.
The next day, she went to see her branch manager, who offered her a promotion as a result of her dedication to the job. She informed Jeong-suk that she might also become a branch manager, earning a fixed salary in addition to in-home profits from sales. Jeong-suk appeared pleased as she left.
When she came back, she ran across Kim Gyeong-sik, an acquaintance from her 12th-grade class. He informed Jeong-suk that his wife was ill and invited her to his home for in-home sales to help her feel better.
He even requested she come alone because his wife would be uncomfortable among so many people. Jeong-suk prepared for in-home sales and went to Gyeong-sik's home.
In the meantime, Young-bok chatted with other local women, and she mentioned Jeong-suk. When Young-bok told the other women about Gyeong-sik's wife, they stated that he had been living alone since his wife had left him.
Kim Do-hyeon, who arrived nearby for work, overheard their conversation. He suspected a threat and promptly left for the location.
Jeong-suk was put under threat when Gyeong-sik attempted to sexually abuse her. Soon Do-hyeon arrived to save her, and episode six of A Virtuous Business ended on a tension filled note.
