On October 5, 2024, The Prophet: Omniscient Reader unveiled its poster at the 29th Busan International Film Festival. The film's star-studded cast includes Ahn Hyo Seop, Lee Min Ho, Chae Soo Bin, Nana, Shin Seung Ho, and Kim Ji Soo in the leading roles.

Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint, also known simply as Omniscient Reader, is a South Korean web novel by Sing Shong. It was first published on January 6, 2018, on the Munpia platform, and concluded on February 2, 2020.
The story follows Dokja, an average office worker. His main passion is reading his favorite web novel, Three Ways To Survive In A Ruined World. One day, the novel suddenly becomes a reality.
Dokja realizes he is the only person who knows how the world will end. Armed with this knowledge, he decides to change the course of the story. He uses his understanding to reshape the world as he knows it.
On September 18, 2019, Munpia, the publisher of the web novel, announced a partnership with Realize Pictures to adapt Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint into a series of five feature films. The full cast was officially announced on January 24, 2024, with Kim Ji-soo portraying Lee Ji-hye. She is a high school student who starts as a character in Three Ways To Survive In A Ruined World. Under Yoo Joonghyuk's leadership, Ji-hye fights to survive. Her motivations and tough demeanor are rooted in a traumatic past; in the first scenario, she is forced to kill her best friend to stay alive.
Chae Soo-bin, as Yoo Sang-ah, is Kim Dokja's co-worker. She is on the subway with him when the events of the novel begin to unfold. Despite not being in the original story and lacking prior knowledge, she becomes a powerful figure in her own right.
Nana is playing Jung Hee-won, initially a minor character in Three Ways To Survive In A Ruined World. Part of the "marginalized group" from Geumho Station, she dies early on in the novel. However, Kim Dokja saves her, and she joins his company. Over time, Hee-won becomes one of the strongest characters in the story.
Shin Seung-ho is portraying Lee Hyun-sung - a former army lieutenant who initially appeared in Three Ways To Survive In A Ruined World. He fights under Yoo Joonghyuk's leadership. As the story progresses, he becomes Kim Dokja's ally and companion. In the original narrative, Lee Hyun-sung is known as 'Pure Steel Sword,' symbolizing loyalty.
