Recently, Prada named actor Byeon Woo-seok as its latest brand ambassador. The luxury Italian brand has a star-studded roster of ambassadors, and Korean celebrities have taken up a major place among them.
Prada, one of the most iconic Italian luxury brands, carries a rich history. Dating back to 1913, Mario Prada founded the brand in Milan. Initially, it specialized in high-quality leather goods but gradually, it became popular due to its refined craftsmanship and timeless designs.
By the 1980s, under the direction of Mario’s granddaughter Miuccia Prada, the brand transformed into a symbol of high fashion. It has since become a leading influence in luxury fashion, expanding into ready-to-wear clothing, footwear, fragrances, and accessories.

In recent years, the Italian brand has strategically partnered with influential Korean celebrities, to strengthen its presence in the rapidly growing Asian market. Notably, 23-year-old Jeon Somi, an artist celebrated for her unique style and presence, was also appointed as one of the Korean brand ambassadors.

1) Byeon Woo-seok
On November 4, Prada announced Lovely Runner actor Byeon Woo-seok as its brand ambassador on Instagram.
The brand wrote that it was pleased to announce the actor as an official brand ambassador and posted two images of him. The caption of the post reads,
"Prada is pleased to announce Byeon Wooseok, Korean actor, as Prada’s brand ambassador."
For the look, Byeon Woo-seok decked up a black blazer over a powder blue shirt, wearing them with trousers and polished loafers.
Previously, in June, the actor attended the Prada Men’s Spring/Summer 2025 fashion show in Milan, showcasing his involvement with the brand.
2) Karina
aespa's leader, Karina, is another brand ambassador for Prada. In August 2024, the brand officially announced her as a global ambassador on Instagram, posting pictures from the campaign and writing,
"Prada is pleased to announce KARINA, South Korean singer and leader of K-pop group aespa, as Prada’s brand ambassador."
In the announcement post, the aespa vocalist, 24, stroke poses in a black knee-length dress styled in coquette fashion, paired with flat pump shoes and open hair. Earlier this year, the K-pop idol was spotted in the brand's Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan, wearing a white silk gazar shift dress from the Spring 2024 collection.
3) Kim Tae-ri
Blue Dragon Film Award-winning actress Kim Tae-ri was named the brand ambassador for Prada Beauty, the first Korean celebrity to earn that title. On August 1, 2024, the Italian brand officially announced it via the Prada Beauty social media accounts, and the actress was seen shooting for several ad campaigns for the brand.
When the brand shared the Instagram post announcing her as the ambassador, Kim Tae-ri commented,
"I’m honored and excited to be an ambassador of Prada Beauty, a brand with a novel vision for beauty. I hope to have a beautiful and creative collaboration with Prada Beauty.”
4) Jeon Somi
Recently, Canadian-South Korean singer Jeon Somi launched her solo track Fast Forward, which has crossed 100 million streams on Spotify. The vocalist joined other global ambassadors of the Italian luxury brand for the Eternal Gold Jewelry Collection campaign in October 2022.
In that post, Somi wrote,
"Introducing @Prada Eternal Gold, the first #PradaFineJewelry line made of 100% certified recycled gold."
Along with Maya Hawk and Amanda Gorman, Somi stroke poses for the recycled gold collection on Instagram. Meanwhile, at Milan Fashion Week this year, she was spotted wearing a blazer dress with a sturdy handbag.
5) Sana Minatozaki
TWICE vocalist Sana Minatozaki has been involved with the Italian luxury brand since 2019. However, the brand included her with other Korean ambassadors at the Prada Mode Seoul event in September 2023. While posting a series of Prada ambassadors' images, the brand wrote,
"Prada Ambassadors Jaehyun, Song Kang and Sana together with Lee Jaewook, Koo Kyohwan, Chun Woohee, Shin Yeeun and Irene Kim attended Prada Mode Seoul, curated by Lee Sook-Kyung."

6) Song Kang
The Sweet Home actor Song Kang is the face of various brands, including Bobby Brown, Cartier, and Prada. In 2021, the Italian luxury brand announced him as the ambassador, and he has been spotted at various events and fashion shows since then.
His Instagram profile features various posts regarding his brand campaigns. At Prada Mode Seoul, he appeared in a brown shirt with long collars and black pants. Further, at Menswear SS23, he decked up wearing a grey blazer and matching trousers with a chunky soled boot.
7) Jaehyun
Before announcing him as the brand ambassador, Prada had collaborated with NCT's Jeong Jaehyun for a long time. In 2021, the brand featured the vocalist and actor in numerous ad campaigns, like GQ Holiday, Re-nylon launches, and so on.
However, the brand officially announced him as the ambassador in 2022, and the SS23 Prada Uomo Fashion Show recorded his first appearance as the ambassador. At this event, when the brand was unveiling its Spring/Summer 2023 collection, Jaehyun came wearing a nylon jumpsuit and a double-breasted coat.
8) Irene
One of the Red Velvet members, Irene, is about to begin her solo venture in November, and she has been the face of Prada since 2020. Along with EXO's vocalist Chanyeol, Irene was featured in an ad shoot for the brand in Vogue Korea, where they were announced as the official ambassadors.
The debut fashion show of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simmons together was arranged online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and Irene was spotted posing at a store with the invitation in her hand, asking people to join the livestream.
