Fans of BLACKPINK’s Rosé were sent into a frenzy after she left a playful reference to Bruno Mars’ hit song, When I Was Your Man, on his Instagram post. The comment, made under Bruno Mar's latest post flaunting accessories from Tiffany & Co., sparked a hilarious online interaction as fans speculated the singer's post caption was a friendly jab at actor Evan Mock.

For the unversed, the incident began when Bruno Mars cheekily commented on Rosé’s Instagram post promoting her new music video, toxic till the end, on December 6. The photo featured Evan Mock, the actor and model best known for his role in HBO Max’s Gossip Girl reboot. Mock starred as the male lead in the BLACKPINK singer's music video.

Referencing Mock in a lighthearted jab that delighted fans.

On December 12, 2024, Bruno Mars posted his latest picture on Instagram with the caption:

Others praised the Gameboy singer-songwriter's wit for using Bruno Mars' lyrics as a comeback.
