“Always been so relatable” — Fans react as Kim Taehyung reveals being ambidextrous in ‘Winter Ahead’ MV BTS

On Sunday, December 1, 2024, BIGHIT MUSIC released the behind-the-scenes footage of BTS' Kim Taehyung and Park Hyo-shin's Winter Ahead MV. Titled 'V ‘Winter Ahead (with PARK HYO SHIN)’ MV Shoot Sketch - BTS.' The video gave fans a closer look into the filming process of the Grammy-nominated musician's latest digital single release.

In the clip, Taehyung, who is well-known as V, shared that he is ambidextrous. For the unversed, an ambidextrous person can use both their right and left hands equally. The Layover singer-songwriter was seen telling his staff about being ambidextrous and said:

"I write with my right hand and throw with my left. I use my left hand for strength and my right hand for precision. Yes, but it’s always been this way. I was originally left-handed but my grandpa would scold me for it, so I was forced to switch to my right hand."

Taehyung continued:

"I felt like this pose would be too hard. I thought l'd give it a try for the first time in a while and it worked out surprisingly well."

The BTS fanbase resonated with his ability and shared anecdotes from their respective lives after the clip went viral online. One fan wrote on X:

Supporters found him "exceptionally talented" and speculated that the BTS vocalist must also have good handwriting.

In other news, BTS' Taehyung is serving in the South Korean military. He enlisted on December 11, 2023, alongside bandmate, Kim Namjoon aka RM. They both will return on June 9, 2025, after completing 18 months of mandatory military service.
