Park Shin-hye is reportedly considering a new drama role. On December 3, 2024, South Korean media outlet SPOTV News reported that the actress has been cast for a lead role in the upcoming drama Chair Time (literal translation).

The report also revealed that the actress received an offer to play Lee In-young, an industry-leading dental hygienist and consultant. In response, her agency, SALT Entertainment, confirmed the same, stating:

"Actress Park Shin-hye received an offer from the production team of the new drama 'Chair Time' and is currently reviewing it."

Fans are thrilled to learn that Park Shin-hye might take on the role of a dentist in the upcoming drama Chair Time. Their comments highlight anticipation for Park Shin-hye returning to another medical role with Lee In-young, following her performances in The Doctors (2016) and Doctor Slump (2024).

Park Shin-hye in talks for Chair Time: A promising new chapter after The Judge from Hell

Chair Time tells the story of Lee In-young, a top executive who loses her principles due to harsh life realities. In a downward spiral, she meets Jo Chi-soo, an eccentric dentist. The two heal and support each other, growing through love and mutual understanding.

Park Shin-hye is in talks to play Lee In-young. The character is an industry-leading dental hygienist and management consultant who can fix any failing dental clinic if paid.

The drama is reportedly directed by Lee Kwang-young, known for Call It Love (2023), The Secret Life of My Secretary (2019) and more. Chair Time is currently in development and under discussions with networks.

Previously, Park Shin-hye starred in SBS’s The Judge from Hell that aired from from September 21 to November 2, 2024. The fantasy action drama focuses on the story of Kang Bit-na, a demon who possesses a judge’s body. The character teams up with a passionate detective to punish criminals and becomes a true judge.

She has received praise for her action scenes and intense transformation. The show has ended with nationwide ratings of 11.9%, peaking at 14.7%, ranking first across all time slots.

Park Shin-hye, is a renowned South Korean actress. She first gained attention as a child actor with roles in Stairway to Heaven (2003) and Tree of Heaven (2006). Her career soared with the hit film Miracle in Cell No. 7 (2013), one of Korea's top-grossing movies.
