Are You Sure?! Episode 5 highlights and recap: BTS’ Taehyung signs off from Jeju island adventure with Jimin and Jungkook

Are You Sure?! episode 5 was released on Disney+ on August 29, 2024. After having a great day fishing in the water, Jimin, Jungkook, and V (Kim Taehyung) go for dinner. While Jungkook grills the meat, the group members converse about Jin's guidance and their impending military duty.

The latest episode opens with the trio making jokes about how to properly cook the meat, setting a lighthearted tone for the entire episode. Jimin tries to make "ssam" (Korean wrap with meat and rice) for the filming crew after realizing they haven't eaten.

However, the crew hilariously leaves the table immediately and goes elsewhere. When Jungkook and V see this, they start laughing at Jimin's "ssam," which causes people to flee, and Jimin turns them into his target. Additionally, the episode shows the BTS trio swimming in the pool at their resort and playing underwater rock, paper, and scissors.

Are You Sure?! Episode 5 shows the hilarious dramatic friendship between BTS members as they fight over food

Are You Sure?! episode 5 kicks off where the previous episode left with Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung lounging on the yacht on their way back to the shore. After freshening up, they head to a barbecue restaurant, order food and soju (Korean beer), and reminisce about their time together and their impending enlistment.

It is important to note that the episode was filmed on September 24, 2023, as shown at the beginning of episode 3. In December 2023, the three BTS members enlisted in the South Korean military to fulfill their mandatory conscription. Meanwhile, in Are You Sure?! episode 5, they discuss how BTS' Jin is the most handsome member of the group and looks the same over the years.

Jimin shares how Jin advised them that even old friends who enlisted together in the military would often end up fighting. Jungkook, however, adds that he and Jimin would never fight even though they were enlisting together. The trio finishes their dinner and heads back to the resort.

Jungkook, Jimin, and V then take a dip in the swimming pool and get into hilarious shenanigans such as pretending to fall asleep underwater, playing rock, paper, scissors, and more. Later, V goes to bed early while Jimin and Jungkook engage in a towel fight. After freshening up, the duo falls asleep.

The next morning in Are You Sure?! episode 5, Taehyung wakes up at 7 AM and leaves for an errand while Jimin and Jungkook sleep till late. Later on, Jimin wakes up and gets ready while Jungkook fails to wake up. After forcing the BTS maknae to wake up, the duo heads out to have breakfast at another restaurant in Jeju. V joins the two at the restaurant, and they order food.

Both V and Jimin are in awe of how Jungkook had three full rounds of food. In between, the trio dramatically fights over food to determine whether the meat is pink sausage or ham. Jungkook says that it was pink sausages and asks the restaurant owner to verify his claims. Once the owner states that it was pink sausages and not ham, Jungkook hilariously pretends to hit Jimin.

Jimin dramatically leaves the table and says that he will not eat anymore. Meanwhile, V adds fuel to the shenanigans, asking Jimin to show his restraint, and hilariously orders another serving of pink sausages. Jimin comes back to the table as he realizes that Jungkook and V didn't fall for his act and asks Jungkook to apologize to him. Jungkook shakes hands with Jimin instead and laughs it off.

Are You Sure?! episode 5 ends with the trio heading back to the resort and Jungkook preparing beef shank stew for the filming crew. While he prepares lunch for everyone, both V and Jimin take a long nap.
