In the previous week’s episodes of Bad Memory Eraser, Lee Shin (Lee Jong-won) was blackmailed by some strange man, who had photos of him pushing Lee Goon (Kim Jae-joong) into the river.

The latest episode of Bad Memory Eraser showcased how Goon confronted Shin. They both blamed each other for their painful lives. This episode highlighted the old wounds of both brothers.

Bad Memory Eraser episode 13: Goon gripped Shin's hand as he jumped into the river

Episode 13 of Bad Memory Eraser started with Lee Shin walking on the bridge, and meanwhile, his photos of pushing Goon into the river were flashing on the news. The news channels were portraying him as a murderer who tried to kill his brother and tampered with the evidence. Goon called Shin repeatedly but he didn’t answer any of them.

At the police station, both Goon and Chief Hong were trying to find Shin using his smartwatch’s location, as he left his phone behind while chasing the stalker in the previous episode. Chief Hong questioned Goon if Shin really tried to kill him. But Goon seemed more worried about his brother instead of blaming him for his accident.

Shin was spotted in one of the roadside cameras and Goon insisted that the police find him as this was a case of attempted murder.

In the next scene, Shin checked his voicemail and found Goon’s message requesting him to come back. Goon, on the other side, was checking the CCTV footage which he got from the building located near to the bridge where the accident occurred. In the footage, he saw that Shin was the one who intentionally jumped into the water when suddenly Goon caught his hand in order to save him.

After this, the complete scene of what happened on the night of the accident was revealed in the episode. On that night, Shin followed Goon to the bridge. The latter was upset as he saw the former kissing his first love in the parking lot. Goon was crying on the bridge and when he saw Shin, he became enraged and burst into tears.

He held Shin responsible for the loss of everything he possessed in his life. Shin, conversely, held Goon accountable for his current circumstances following his childhood accident. Shin stated that he did not wish to lead a life akin to Goon's and never aspired to be a player, yet he was perpetually compelled to imitate Goon.

After that, Goon asked him why he had done all of this if he had never wanted to. He referred to Shin as a 'copycat.' This shattered Shin internally, prompting him to jump from the bridge, however, as he descended, Goon grasped his hand.

Goon remained concerned for his younger brother. He used some muscle to elevate Shin, but ultimately both plunged into the river. As Goon fell into the water, he struck his head against the adjacent electrical box of the bridge.

Both fell into the water and then Shin saved Goon, whose head was injured. Shin had blamed himself for Goon’s accident.

Following this, Goon was then seen sitting at his house, where his father told him about how Shin had worked like a mule throughout his life. He told Goon that Shin never spent a single penny but worked so much to help his father financially with his secret business that his mother wasn’t aware of. He asked Goon to forgive his brother.

The next day, Professor Han called Goon to take his health update. He spoke to Goon at Ju-hyeon’s request, as she was very concerned about him.

Sae-yan, who was still looking for her father, called different people who lived in her hometown. Finally, she received a call about her father. The caller informed Sae-yan that her father was alive. Sae-yan got excited to meet him. When she reached the place of the meeting, she realized that he was not her father but some stranger who was paid to act like her father by her mother.

Sae-yan became very angry and sad at this and she went to meet her mother. Ju-yeon was already present at the location as Sae-yan’s mother urgently called her to meet her. Sae-yan’s mother was still adamantly waiting for her daughter to quickly go back to Italy. She told Ju-yeon that she already submitted Sae-yan’s resignation at the Tennis Association.

Sae-yan arrived at the same place and begged her mother to just leave her alone and not play such games with her.

Lee Shin, who ran away from home, was seen wandering around a beach. He bought a camping tent from a couple. But later he lost his wallet in the hands of two boys while he saved a kid who was being bullied by those two boys. Those boys saw Shin’s identity card in his wallet and posted it online as the police were already searching for him.

After losing his wallet, Shin called Sae-yan, but the call was received by Ju-yeon. Shin hung up immediately, but she tracked the location and left to meet Shin. She met with him, and they sat together at the beach, where Shin told her that he always liked her as he felt comfortable around her. This made Ju-yeon a bit uncomfortable.

Goon, on the other hand, saw that post that was shared by the boys and reached out to them. He reached the location, and the boys escorted him to Shin. Goon arrived at the beach and saw Shin and Ju-yeon together. He became angry and quickly left.

Ju-yeon followed him, but he was rude towards her as he had seen her with his brother many times before. Ju-yeon tried to convince him, but he made a rude comment about her father, and she slapped him right away. Shin saw all this happening between them and became sad.

Tae-oh, who was still looking for side effects in the Bad Memory Eraser experiment, told Professor Han that he would tell Goon everything about his lost memories. Nervously, Han called Ju-yeon and told her everything. She rushed to Goon’s place after talking to Han. Shin helped Ju-yeon to reach Goon’s house after she told him that Goon wasn't at home and was in danger.

Towards the end of this Bad Memory Eraser episode, Ju-yeon rushed to the hospital to stop Tae-oh from doing so. She saw Goon outside the hospital premises and followed him.

Goon was very upset after being angry at Ju-yeon as he missed her. While he was thinking about her standing at the tennis practice court, Ju-yeon came from behind. Goon rushed to her and kissed her. This is where episode 13 of Bad Memory Eraser ended.

The final episodes of Bad Memory Eraser are scheduled for September 20 and September 21. Although Bad Memory Eraser airs on the MBN network, the episodes can also be watched on the Rakuten Viki platform.
