The previous episode of Bad Memory Eraser featured important revelations about Lee Shin’s (Lee Jong-won) involvement in his brother, Lee Goon’s (Kim Jae-joong) accident. The episode ended with Goon overhearing Chief Hong and Shin’s conversation, who was blackmailing Shin, which triggered some of Goon’s memories.
In the latest episode of Bad Memory Eraser, Lee Shin gets to know about the link between Ju-yeon and Sae-yan which makes him furious. He thinks about how he can save himself by refraining Goon’s lost memories from coming back.

Bad Memory Eraser episode 9 recap: Lee Shin informs Sae-yan about Ju-yeon being Goon's first love
Episode 9 of Bad Memory Eraser begins with Lee Goon and Kyung Ju-yeon. Goon’s memories of his accident night trigger, but Ju-yeon tries to calm him down and tells him not to remember them. Goon asks her why everyone is trying to make him forget that night.
Following this, Ju-yeon tells Goon to go to the hospital for his checkup. She feels Goon’s Bad Memory Eraser experiment was performed to free him from pain, but everything was happening the opposite.
Meanwhile, Lee Shin is seen sitting in a bar, where he gets drunk and thinks about what Chief Hong told him. In his flashback, Hong blackmails Shin with the photos of Shin pushing Goon from the bridge. Therefore, Hong tells him to renew his contract with Big Picture Agency.
Ju-yeon reaches the bar to take Shin with her, while Goon is waiting in the car. She enters the bar and looks for Shin. She hears some noise and then she follows it. She finds that Shin is getting hit by the two men. While she enters the room, she recalls her traumatic childhood memory where her father was murdered.
As soon as she goes to save Shin, Goon enters the scene. Goon fights and saves Shin. Both Goon and Shin faint, and Ju-yeon brings them home.
The next morning, Shin informs Ju-yeon about Goon’s emotional diary and that he will hand it over the next time they meet.
Following this, Goon meets Cha Si On and tries to convince her as she refuses to shoot for the advertiser. Upset Si On leaves the shooting sets and goes to her school; Ju-yeon finds her there and convinces her to shoot.
Meanwhile, Goon visits the investor's office and encounters Chief Hong, who derides Goon for Shin choosing to renew his contract with Chief Hong instead of Goon, his own brother. Investor also looks down on Goon as he loses Shin’s contract.
Sae-yan, on the other hand, asks Ju-yeon’s mother about the location of Jincheon Athlete’s Village.
In the next scene, Lee Shin meets Ju-yeon and the Italian coach for practice. Sae-yan also enters the scene and introduces herself as the interpreter for Goon’s agency. Shin takes Sae-yan to the corner and asks her what she is doing there. Sae-yan tells him that she is working as an interpreter for Goon and also tells him that Ju-yeon is her roommate. This is when Lee Shin discovers the link between Ju-yeon and Sae-yan. Here, Shin also tells her about Ju-yeon being Goon’s first love.
Shin then tells Sae-yan to quit her job, to which she refuses. Instead, she says that he must stay out of his business and let her work peacefully while she is looking for her first love. Frustrated by her attitude, Shin asks why hasn’t that man shown up yet, whom Sae-yan is searching for so desperately. Sae-yan leaves angrily.
Si On returns to the set and starts shooting for the advertisement. Goon enters the scene, and while talking to Si On, he finds out how Ju-yeon convinced her.
Goon calls Ju-yeon and asks her for dinner together. Ju-yeon gets ready and as she takes a cab, she receives a call from Shin, who asks her to meet him and take Goon’s emotion diary from him. Ju-yeon cancels her plan with Goon and meets Shin in a fine dining restaurant, where Shin is prepared to tell Ju-yeon about Sae-yan being Goon’s first love.
Meanwhile, Goon, who is waiting for Ju-yeon, receives a text from her about the cancellation of their dinner plan. As he is leaving, Sae-yan comes to Goon and drinks with him. She tells Goon that Ju-yeon cares for him a lot. Also, she shares how she is looking for her first love.
At the same time, Ju-yeon is seen having a meal with Shin, where he asks her if she likes Goon, to which she refuses. He tells her that her eyes sparkle every time he talks about Goon.
Ju-yeon reaches home after dinner, where Goon is already waiting for her. At the end of episode 9 of Bad Memory Eraser, Goon and Ju-yeon have drinks at home, and then Goon takes her to Si On’s school, where they renovate her desk, removing all her negative thoughts written on her desk.
Ju-yeon and Goon come down after painting the desk. Ju-yeon’s heart flutters as she feels herself falling in love with Goon. She rushes towards Goon and hugs him. This is where episode 9 of Bad Memory Eraser comes to an end.
