The last episode of Bad Memory Eraser was finally released on September 21 via the MBN television network and Rakuten Viki app. The series featured Kim Jae-joong, Lee Jong-won, Yang Hye-ji, and Jin Se-yeon in the primary roles of the rom-com drama. The show has a total of 16 episodes.

The previous episode featured Ju-yeon in danger as Sae-yan’s father wanted to kill her, just like he murdered her father. Sae-yan, on the other hand, was helplessly locked inside her father’s place.

The most recent episode of Bad Memory Eraser showed how the police apprehended Sae-yan's father and how Goon finally met his true first love. This episode also revealed how Ju-yeon’s father died.

Bad Memory Eraser Episode 16: Goon saved Ju-yeon and Shin rescued Sae-yan

Episode 16 of Bad Memory Eraser starts with Goon wondering why he was seeing Ju-yeon’s face in his childhood memories.

Ju-yeon, who requested disciplinary action against herself in the previous episode, was seen sitting in the meeting room of the hospital. The panel of the committee began questioning when Goon suddenly entered the room.

As he was the subject of Bad Memory Eraser’s clinical trials, he also answered the questions of the panel, where he extended his support to Ju-yeon’s research to some degree. Eventually, with the minister's interference, Ju-yeon was saved. Instead, Tae-oh was targeted for unethical experiments.

In the next scene, Sae-yan is found locked inside her father’s place. She remembered her childhood with Ju-yeon. Ju-yeon had been a strong support for Sae-yan, as she saved her from being bullied by other kids in her childhood.

Following a small flashback with Ju-yeon, Sae-yan realized why her mother stopped her from meeting her father. She resolved to rescue Ju-yeon from her father.

She looked for help and found a credit card machine. She took out her wallet and swiped the card that Ju-yeon gave her in the past. She made multiple transactions of such amounts that signaled her to be in trouble. Ju-yeon tracked the location of these transactions.

Meanwhile, Shin also contacted Inspector Kim to ask about the stalker and also to request they look for Sae-yan. He seemed concerned as he wasn’t able to contact her. The inspector informed Shin that he had sent the stalker’s photo on Goon’s email. Both Goon and Shin looked into the identity of the stalker.

Goon was reminded of Sae-yan’s father, whose poster she had shown him in the past. He seemed suspicious of Sae-yan’s father, therefore, he spoke to the police about the stalker and what crimes he had committed in the past. With more in-depth research, Goon found that Sae-yan’s father murdered Ju-yeon’s father.

Meanwhile, Shin had already reached out to Ju-yeon and planned to find Sae-yan together. As they were about to leave, Ju-yeon received a message from Sae-yan’s number stating that she was reaching the hospital to meet her, to the relief of Ju-yeon and Shin.

As Goon realized the danger revolving around Ju-yeon, he called Shin, who was already looking into the location where those transactions occurred. Shin reached the car center where Sae-yan was locked up and Goon rushed to the hospital to save Ju-yeon.

Goon stopped Sae-yan's father from attacking Ju-yeon. Soon, the police arrived at the scene and arrested him. The attacker believed that Ju-yeon was trying to play tricks to distance his daughter from him. Therefore, he tried killing Ju-yeon. It was only then that Ju-yeon found that Sae-yan’s father had killed her father.

Following the attacker’s arrest, the flashback of Ju-yeon and Sae-yan is revealed to showcase their childhood memories. Ju-yeon and Sae-yan were good friends. But the latter’s father had murdered the former’s father due to his obsession with his separated family and Ju-yeon had witnessed the murder.

Coming back to the present, Ju-yeon woke up at the hospital. Both Sae-yan and her mother apologized to Ju-yeon and things get resolved between them.

Sae-yan met Goon and told him that she wasn’t his first love. This made Goon think that Ju-yeon could be his first love. Sae-yan informed him that she found the medal lying in her house and that she never saved Goon.

While Ju-yeon and Sae-yan were leaving Korea, Sae-yan asked her if she could be Goon’s first love. Ju-yeon smiled at Sae-yan’s question, which was again followed by another flashback from her childhood. It showed that Ju-yeon saved Goon when he fell into the river. While she was looking for his medal, Goon had already left. Then, Ju-yeon took that medal to Sae-yan’s house and left it there.

Goon, on the other hand, received a call from Professor Han, who informed him that there weren’t any side effects in the Bad Memory Eraser experiment and that Ju-yeon was his real first love. Listening to this, Goon became happy but soon realized that Ju-yeon had already left.

Towards the end of Bad Memory Eraser season 1, the story is fast-forwarded to three years. Ju-yeon returned to Korea and Goon was successfully running his agency. Shin joined college and Sae-yan was living happily in Italy. In the last scene, Ju-yeon goes to the same bridge where she first met Goon in her childhood. Goon also arrived at the scene and the two hugged each other.

Season 2 renewal possibilities for Bad Memory Eraser

The MBN drama's climax left no loose ends for any character, indicating that there will be no second season of Bad Memory Eraser. The primary protagonists, Goon, Ju-yeon, Shin, and Sae-yan, all received happy endings.

Goon was eventually reunited with his true first love, Ju-yeon. Shin stopped playing tennis and began attending college, as he had planned. Sae-yan's hunt for her father had also come to an end.

In addition, other supporting characters, including Ju-yeon's and Goon's family members, earned a tranquil closure in the last episode.

Bad Memory Eraser's production team has not yet commented on the show's second season. Therefore, the renewal possibilities for the second season are negligible.
