The seventh episode of the crime-thriller drama Black Out aired on Friday, September 6, 2024. Directed by Lee Kyoo-man and Byun Yong-joo, the drama has amassed a great audience.

Based on the German novel Snow White Must Die by Nele Neuhaus, Black Out stars Byun Yo-han as Goh Jeong-woo, who, after 10 years, has embarked on a quest to find the truth behind the two murders he does not remember committing.

Black Out episode 6 ended with Jeong-woo's friend, Geon-oh, bringing Bo-yeong's bag to him. This has brought the story to an interesting turn as this evidence will slowly peel off the layers of the dark secret Jeong-woo's friends and acquaintances have been hiding from him.

Black Out episode 7 recap: Bo-yeong's school bag reveals new and darker secrets

In a flashback, Geon-oh sees some senior students bullying Su-oh but feels helpless. However, Jeong-woo notices it and gets beaten up while trying to stop them.

In the present, Geon-oh hands the suitcase to Jeong-woo, who finds Bo-yeong's books and mobile phone in her purple school bag. He asks whether he killed Bo-yeong and rushes to charge the phone.

Ha Seol drives off with Park Hyeong-sik to meet Su-oh at the hospital. He asks about her medical studies and living conditions at Mucheon Garden, and Ye Yeong-sil's secretary follows them on her orders.

As Gu-tak rushes off to find Geon-oh, Bo-yeong's parents come to talk with him. Shim Dong-min (Bo-yeong's father) tells him that he does not want to rush her funeral. Ha Seol meets with Su-oh, and she asks him whether he was there at the place of the murders 11 years ago (1 year has passed since the arrival of Jeong-woo from prison).

He does not respond but repeatedly urges to get the paintings to Jeong-woo. Hyeong-sik hears the word painting, and Ha Seol tells him that Su-oh wishes to paint. He then arranges the material for him at the hospital.

Byeong-mu and Min-su's fathers reach Jeong-woo's place to find Geon-woo. As they enter his home, Geon-oh quickly shuts himself and the purple bag in Jeong-woo's room, where he empties Bo-yeong's bag. The older men get frightened when they realize the bag belongs to Bo-yeong.

In the shed, Jeong-woo tries to charge the phone and explore its contents. As he hears the noise from the house, he quickly hides the phone in the shed's roof. During the struggle for the bag, Min-su's father pushes Geon-oh forcefully, and his head hits the table, rendering him unconscious.

Jeong-woo enters the room, and as he walks towards Geon-oh, Byeong-mu's father hits him with a potted plant on his head. Jeong-woo also falls unconscious.

Sitting in the car, Sang-cheol remembers Jeong-woo's home-room teacher telling him he was never alone. They were like five musketeers who always hung together, including Jeong-woo, Byeong-mu, Bo-yeong, Geon-oh, and Min-su. Sometimes, they would also call Su-oh. She tells him that they all disappeared before Jeong-woo was about to go to prison.

Noh Sang-cheol found it strange that his closest friend went away abroad or enlisted in the army right before his trial. He calls Jeong-woo, who answers the call, breathing heavily. Sang-cheol drives to his home and calls an ambulance.

Na-gyeom invites her school friends to dinner to ask if anyone has seen Bo-yeong that night. She tries to quicken the process of getting Jeong-woo out of Mucheon. She plans to transfer his mother to another hospital and hopes Bo-yeong's funeral happens quickly.

At Jeong-woo's house, Sang-cheol captures images of the scene where he found Jeong-woo unconscious. As he tries to uncover who hit Jeong-woo, Sang-cheol looks into his shed and finds the old charger. After searching for a few hours, he finally finds a phone hidden in the roof. He realizes it is Bo-yeong's phone, which also contains a video of the night of her murder.

In the video, she is recording her friends - Byeong-mu, Geon-oh, and Min-su. However, Geon-oh is recorded leaving the scene to get some alcohol from his house.

At Jeong-woo's house, Sang-cheol confronts him, saying that he cannot go with this phone to the police chief as he will never side with him. Then Jeong-woo spots Bo-yeong's books that Geon-oh left and finds underwear. Sang-cheol connects it to the forensic report that reported missing underwear and a pelvis fracture.

At Gu-tak's house, the older men give them the purple bag. Since Jeong-woo was in his shed when they arrived, they believed he had not seen the bag yet. Min-su's father demands to know Gu-tak's plan of action for Geon-oh and Jeong-woo as they cannot keep living on the edge, and his tone angers Gu-tak.

In the morning, Geon-oh insists on returning the bag to Jeong-woo, which angers Gu-tak, but he begs him, saying that he has had a hard time as Jeong-woo went to prison instead of him. Geon-oh tells him he is going to turn himself in and Gu-tak forcefully takes him back to his room. Geon-oh insists that he must turn himself in as he killed Bo-yeong, to which Gu-tak angrily responds that it was an accident and locks him in the room.

In the morning, Byeong-mu gets a call from his father that Bo-yeong's bag, books, and pencil box were found. Min-su gets worried; however, Byeong-mu tells him they did not do anything wrong, and these things will not be considered evidence, that they have to keep pretending they don't know anything. He assures him that no one will believe Jeong-woo.

Na-gyeom visits Hyeong-sik at his hospital and reveals that she volunteered there in 12th grade 10 years ago. She says she wants to transfer Jeong-woo's mother to Seoul when Yeong-sil enters the room.

Min-su and Byeong-mu try to convince Jeong-woo to start fresh away from Mucheon, and they get worried when he tells them that he met Geon-oh. When they leave, Sang-cheol collects the DNA sample from the glass that Min-su drank from and Jeong-woo's saliva. He also collected Byeong-mu's sample when they ate lunch together.

Jeong-woo visits Geon-oh's house and finds him locked. He breaks the lock, and Jeong-woo asks about what happened in the warehouse that day.

At the police station, Gu-tak tries to get the section chief against Sang-cheol, who is hell-bent on re-opening the murder case. They plan to get Byeong-mu to monitor him. Sang-cheol gets the DNA tests report that it is a 99.9% match. Byeong-mu tails Sang-cheol's car and rams into his car to stop him.
