On October 20, 2024, BLACKPINK's Rosé made history by earning her first Perfect All Kill (PAK) record as a solo artist. Her recent solo track, APT. (with Bruno Mars), ranked No.1 on all major Korean music streaming platforms like Bugs, MelOn, Genie, and FLO.

The latest track amassed over 6.85 million streams on Spotify and opened with 8.5 million streams (including filtered and unfiltered streams) on the Spotify counter. It became the biggest debut by an artist(s) in 2024. It also ranked No. 1 on the YouTube Music Korea daily chart, earning over 2.6 million views. At the time of this writing, the music video has amassed over 55 million views on YouTube.

The BLACKPINK idol's latest solo track is based on the "Apartment Game," a well-liked drinking game in Korea. She was seen teaching the same game at Yves Saint Laurent's show at Paris Fashion Week on September 27, 2024.

For the unversed, the game's leader yells out a number while the participants stack their hands on top of each other's. The players then call out different numbers and take their hands off one at a time, beginning at the bottom.

Participants are punished by having to drink if they draw their hand out on the number the leader called or if they repeat a number that has already been called. Additionally, if two players call out the same number at the same time, both of them must drink.

According to The Korea Times, BLACKPINK's Rosé explained the concept through her agency, The Black Label, and said:

"‘APT.’ is actually my favorite Korean drinking game that I play with my friends back home. It’s so simple, puts a smile on your face and breaks the ice at any party. One night in the studio, I taught my crew how to play the game."

She continued:

"Everyone was fascinated, especially when I started the chant, so we played around with it and I said we should make a song out of it... and after Bruno joined the track, the rest became history!"

BLACKPINK's Rosé makes a comeback with APT. and earns several accolades within 24 hours of its release

The song was released by BLACKPINK's Rosé on October 18, 2024, and featured American artist Bruno Mars. The track became the fastest duet to reach 10 million views on YouTube in 2024. The song ranked No. 1 in 51 countries, including Australia, France, and the Philippines.
