On November 25, 2024, Warner Music Group announced the signing of a global administration deal between BLACKPINK's Rosé and Warner Chappell Music via a press release. According to the deal, Warner Chappell Music is the songwriting and publishing partner of the K-pop sensation while her original artist management label is The Black Label (YG Entertainment affiliate).

She signed a solo artist management contract with The Black Label, owned by producer Teddy in June 2024 after she left YG Entertainment in December 2023. In September 2024, she signed a global record deal with Atlantic Records—home to artists like Bruno Mars, Charlie XCX, and Cardi B, among others.

On October 27, 2024, a Reddit account shared a screenshot suggesting that the BLACKPINK idol registered Dream Apt Publishing LLC, a recently founded publishing business, in Nevada using her true name, Chae-young Park. For the unversed, Rosé's real name is Park Chae-young and her English name is Roseanne Park (MBE), later shortened to use as her stage name.

Rosé and her bandmates' activities as members of the K-pop group BLACKPINK—which is still signed to YG Entertainment—are managed by the company itself. BLACKPINK's operations outside of Asia are handled by Interscope Records.

On November 26, 2024, the APT. singer told Billboard:

"I am beyond excited to join the team at Warner Chappell. There is so much more to come that I can’t wait to share—it’s going to be an amazing journey."

Warner Chappell Music President of the North American division, Ryan Press, said:

"Rosé has earned this moment, and it’s a huge honor to officially welcome her to our Warner Chappell family. As she breaks record after record, she’s singlehandedly redefining the K-pop genre while also paving the way for a new era of cross-cultural expression."

He continued:

"We’ve already hit the ground running with our partners at Atlantic to support ROSÉ’s bold vision and explore new creative opportunities for her songs. Above all, we can’t wait to see where her music takes us next.”

BLACKPINK's Rosé trailblazes with her comeback solo APT. as the first Western Artist to top Japan's Billboard Hot 100

On November 20, 2024, Rosé became the first female and first Western artist to top Japan's Billboard Hot 100 in a decade. Her track APT. with Bruno Mars also topped the Philippines Hot 100 at No. 1 on November 23, 2024. She is currently the only BLACKPINK member and the first Korean female soloist to achieve these feats.

APT. was released on October 18, 2024, scoring a Perfect-All-Kill as it topped Korean music charts like MelOn, Bugs, and Genie in real-time. It entered the Top 10 at No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global 200 (Excl. US) charts.

On November 22, she dropped her second solo single, Number One Girl, ahead of the official release of her full-length studio album, Rosie, scheduled for December 6.

On November 26, she released the official tracklist of her forthcoming solo album, consisting of Number One Girl, 3am, two years, toxic till the end, drinks or coffee, APT. (Rosé & Bruno Mars), dance all night, too bad for us, call it the end, not the same, stay a little longer, and Gameboy.
