In the recent developments of Brewing Love, Yun Min-ju found out that the day Chae Yong-ju saved him was the same day her grandmother collapsed and was taken to the hospital.

Elsewhere, Bang A-reum made the first move this time and asked Oh Chan-hwi to date her.

Brewing Love ep 7-8 recap: Yun Min-ju meets Chae Yong-ju's grandmother for the first time

In Brewing Love episode 7, Bang A-reum bumped into Oh Chan-hwi at the restaurant and he introduced her to his siblings. She told his brother that they were born on the same day and Oh Chan-hwi told him he couldn't spend time with her today but he would buy her coffee next time.

Later, he surprised her with cake outside a convenience store.

Meanwhile, Chae Yong-ju was thinking about that day when she saved Yun Min-ju and thought whether her grandmother would have been taken to the hospital on time if she hadn't saved Yun Min-ju. She seemed emotionally shaken, and Yun Min-ju noticed it.

Later in Brewing Love episode 7, Chae Yong-ju’s colleague Shim Ro-a had to head back to Seoul as his father collapsed. Yun Min-ju and Chae Yong-ju went along with him and helped him out.

This was followed by Yun Min-ju dropping Chae Yong-ju at her house and her grandmother inviting him inside.

Chae Yong-ju’s grandmother told him she'd heard a lot about him. After observing them, the grandmother was relieved that Chae Yong-ju was not alone. Chae Yong-ju fell asleep while watching TV and the grandmother asked Yun Min-ju to befriend Chae Yong-ju.

He, in return, told her something that he had not told anyone, that he liked Chae Yong-ju. Yun Min-ju reassured the grandmother that he would take care of Chae Yong-ju.

Later, the grandmother told him about the incident that took place six years ago which changed Chae Yong-ju’s life. He saw his childhood photographs and realized she went through a hard time, he blamed himself for it.

The next day, Chae Yong-ju went to the village after seeing the ‘I am sorry’ note on her desk, worrying about Yun Min-ju.

She went to the mountains as Oh Chan-hwi told him he had gone camping. She was even more worried as she heard the news of a landslide in the mountain area and that a man had hurt himself.

Yun Min-ju and Chae Yong-ju resolved their emotions as she told him that she would've made the same decision if she were to go back in the past. The Brewing Love episode 7 ended with the two sharing a kiss.

In Brewing Love episode 8, Chae Yong-ju told Yun Min-ju that she needed some time and he told her that he would wait for her. The next day, Oh Chan-hwi was hesitant to crash Bang A-reum’s blind date but did it anyway. He saw her date being rude to her and took a stand for her.

They went to enjoy the seaside view but it was during the low tide and they could enjoy the view. However, Bang A-reum asked him if he would date her. While he was surprised to hear it, he said yes.

Later in Brewing Love episode 8, Lim Ju-hee (Pyo Ye-jin), Yun Min-ju’s ex-girlfriend from high school, came to his brewery with a joint project offer. She met Chae Yong-ju and told her that she was there to see her ex's face.

As Yun Min-ju and Lim Ju-hee had a conversation, Chae Yong-ju, who was in denial that she liked him, appeared to be jealous.

As Lim Ju-hee left, Yun Min-ju asked Chae Yong-ju out on a date but she said that it would be just like having lunch with a colleague. Nonetheless, they went on their first date where Yun Min-ju gave her a bouquet.

He told her that he would help her find things that she liked and make up for times when she could not be herself while she was busy earning a living.

After returning home, Chae Yong-ju could not see her grandmother. She got a call from the hospital and found out that her grandmother had passed away.

The next day, all her colleagues from the Busan and Seoul branch attended the funeral. Yun Min-ju also came along with the villagers.

Her father Chae Kyung-cheol, who abandoned her when she was a child, also paid a visit and said he was ashamed as a father. Chae Yong-ju told him that saying this would make her forgive him.

She referred to him as Mr. Chae Kyung-cheol and she asked him to look around the flower wreaths and people. Chae Yong-ju told him that she grew up very well, all thanks to her grandmother.

She toughened up, went outside, and tried convincing herself that it was fine, and that she didn't have to hold her tears back. Yun Min-ju followed her and she still acted like she was right in front of him.

The Brewing Love episode 8 ended with Yun Min-ju hugging him as he burst into tears. At the back of her mind, Chae Yong-ju told her grandmother that this person (Yun Min-ju) was more worried about her than she was for herself. Chae Yong-ju let her guard down and started crying.
