ENA's upcoming K-drama Brewing Love (Korean title: 취하는 로맨스), starring Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won, is one of the end-of-year releases to mark on the calendar. The new rom-com, releasing on November 4, is fueling much anticipation due to its intriguing plot that promises light-hearted humor and a playful push-and-pull romance.

A bevy of teasers have already come out before the TV show's release, showcasing the leading duo in an affectionate, warm setting. On October 2, 2024, the latest teaser posters were revealed, featuring close-up shots of Kim Se-jeong as Chae Yong-ju and Lee Jong-won as Yun Min-ju. In another poster, Min-ju is shown carrying Yong-ju on his back in a sunlight-filled backdrop.

Apart from the release of the posters, the production also launched its first teaser on the same day, with the words,

"I think I'm already drunk."

In the teaser, the couple is seen playing a fun game, taking turns filling a glass with beer. The competitive mood is lightened when Min-ju touches Yong-ju's hand briefly, and the latter throws a wink as the title cards read, 'Pull up the excitement level.' Their silhouettes draw close to take a sip from the glass at the same time, and the teaser comes to an end.

Brewing Love will air its first episode on ENA on Monday, November 4 at 10 PM KST, with new episodes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Viewers can also catch it on Genie TV and Genie TV mobile.

Brewing Love: Full cast, plot, characters, and other details

ENA's new program Brewing Love comes from director Park Seon-ho, whose works include Kim Se-jeong's groundbreaking 2022 hit drama Business Proposal, Suspicious Partner (2017), My Strange Hero (2018), and more. Rookie writer Lee Jeong-shin is responsible for the screenplay.

Studio S, known for shows like Do You Like Brahms? (2020), Cheer Up (2022), and Trolley (2022-2023), among others, are backing the production of Brewing Love.

The cast is teeming with capable names, as apart from Kim Se-jeong (Business Proposal, 2022) and Lee Jong-won (Knight Flower, 2024), fans can also expect to see actors Shin Do-hyun (Doom at Your Service, 2021), and Baek Sung-chul (Tell Me That You Love Me, 2023) in the TV series.

Meanwhile, actors Baek Hyun-joo (Welcome to Samdal-ri, 2023), Park Jee-a (Our Blues, 2022), Jang Hyuk-jin (Good Partner, 2024), and Jang Won-young (Black Out, 2024) are also on board, along with a guest appearance from Seo Eun-sol (Doona!, 2023).

Described as "a thrilling and alchohol-heavy romance" by ENA, Brewing Love, introduces audiences to Chae Yong-ju (Kim Se-jeong), a former special forces member in the military, who not only has physical strength but also a bubbly personality. She's also good at hiding her emotions.

Her dedicated work as a salesperson for a liquor company for six years has earned her the title of 'Sales King.' When her company is on the brink of closing, she takes up a mission to save the day. Her mission is to sell a new beer to the brewmaster and CEO of the brewery company, Yun Min-ju (Lee Jong-won)

Min-ju is sensitive and has a keen ability to sense people's emotions. His quiet and serene rural life is about to change with the entrance of Chae Yong-ju. Meanwhile, Bang A-reum (Shin Do-hyun), the manager of the planning team, is in competition with Chae Yong-Ju for Yun Min-Ju’s brewery. Oh Chan-hwi (Baek Sung-chul), is Chae Yong-ju's free-spirited friend.

Audiences can expect to see the leading pair in an opposites-attract dynamic. According to The Korea Economic Daily, the Brewing Love production team stated,

"The process in which these youths, who are polar opposites in every way, fall for each other is exciting. You can look forward to a unique romantic comedy that will be completed with the lovely chemistry between Kim Se-jeong and Lee Jong-won."

Kim Se-jeong's casting was being discussed earlier in March of this year, while Lee Jong-won's appearance was confirmed on April 5. Snippets from the full cast and crew's script reading were also recently shared on ENA's official social media.
