On July 24, 2024, BTS' Jimin became the first and only Korean act to peak at No. 1 on the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart in 2024. His single, WHO, from his latest solo album, MUSE, released on July 19, achieved this feat within five days.

The song has surpassed 26 million streams on Spotify as of July 24, 2024. However, on July 19, WHO recorded 9.9 million streams in one day, making him the first and only Korean act to achieve this in 2024. He joined BTS and Jungkook as the third Korean act overall to have the biggest career song day in Spotify's Global chart history.

WHO is co-written by Jimin, Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, Tenroc, Jon Bellion, and Pete Nappi. The song was co-produced by the GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter and singer Jon Bellion. Jimin surpassed Billie Eilish's BIRD OF A FEATHER and Sabrina Carpenter's Espresso to peak at No. 1 on the Spotify Global Daily Top Songs chart.

Jimin expresses his love for someone through the seven tracks in MUSE

BTS' Jimin expresses his desire to find his soulmate through his album MUSE's seven tracks. The album begins with Rebirth (Intro), which portrays having a crush. Jimin mentioned in MMM (Mini & Moni Music), released on July 20, 2024, that he struggled to write its verses since he hadn't experienced such feelings in a long time.

The second track, Interlude: Showtime, serves as a bridge between the first and third songs, providing a smooth transition. The track introduces Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Loco) as the album's happy and upbeat track. The song was released on June 28, 2024. It also gave a subtle nod to The Beatles' album, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (1967).

The fourth track is SLOW DANCE (feat. Sofia Carson), where the song focuses on commitment to a partner. The fifth track, Be Mine, is reminiscent of Afrobeats and is about the singer being happy in love while dancing under the moon.

Following this, WHO starts as the sixth track, where Jimin expresses his never-ending hunt for his soulmate. The lead track WHO encapsulates the singer's longing to meet his love as he dances in a desolate street, declaring to put "all on the line."

The album concludes with its seventh and final track, Closer Than This—another pre-release single that was dropped on December 22, 2023.

The song was dedicated to his fans (ARMY) and was digitally released via BIGHIT MUSIC. The track addresses his sincere feelings and gratitude towards his fans as he promises to return from the military soon.

In other news, MUSE entered No. 1 on the UK iTunes Album chart on July 19, 2024. The album's title track, WHO, reached No. 1 on the iTunes Worldwide Song chart across 112 countries on July 20.
