On January 14, 2025, BTS' Jimin reached a major milestone as his single WHO became the longest-charting song on the Billboard Global 200, staying for 25 weeks. It also became the highest-charting song on the Billboard Hot 100 for a Korean and Asian act in the last decade, spending 24 weeks in the top spots.
WHO debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Jimin's sixth solo entry and his second-highest debut after Like Crazy, which debuted at No. 1 in 2023.
The song also secured the top position on the Billboard Global 200 and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts, making him the second BTS member after Jungkook to achieve this feat as a solo artist.
In addition to his success with WHO, the Grammy-nominated musician's second solo album, MUSE, made a significant impact on the Billboard 200 chart and debuted at No. 2. As of January 14, 2025, it spent 25 consecutive weeks on the chart, making him the first Korean soloist to achieve this milestone.
In April 2023, he made history as the first South Korean soloist to top the Billboard Hot 100 with his single Like Crazy. Born on October 13, 1995, in Busan, South Korea, Jimin developed an early interest in dance, studying contemporary dance at Busan High School of Arts. His passion led him to Seoul, where he joined BigHit Entertainment as a trainee. In 2013, he debuted as the lead vocalist and main dancer of BTS.
His solo discography within BTS includes standout tracks like Lie, Serendipity, and Filter. Lie, released in 2016 as part of the album Wings, is noted for its dramatic composition and has surpassed 50 million streams on Spotify.
Serendipity, from the 2017 EP Love Yourself: Her, offers a softer, sensual melody, while Filter, featured on the 2020 album Map of the Soul: 7, presents a Latin pop flair, reflecting different facets of Jimin's persona.
