On Friday, September 27, 2024, BTS' Jungkook's solo track Standing Next To You became BRIT-certified Silver in the UK for selling over 200,000 units. The social media page of BRIT Awards shared the latest milestone of Jungkook's single.

With the latest certification, the BTS member became the K-soloist with the most UK Silver certifications. BTS' Jungkook's other solo tracks to achieve this certification are Seven, Left and Right, and Golden.

The BRIT Certified Awards comprise three categories: Platinum, Gold, and Silver. Singles are presently conferred Platinum status at reaching 600,000 sales, Gold status at 400,000 units, and Silver status at 200,000 units, according to Official Charts Company data. Therefore, Standing Next To You is certified with Silver status.


BTS' Jungkook's Standing Next to You solo track was recorded in one day

On September 25, 2024, the boy band's official Twitter account, @bts_bighit, shared an excerpt from Jungkook's recently premiered documentary I AM STILL, disclosing that the artist recorded Standing Next to You in a single day, inciting excitement among fans. In the thirty-three-second film, the musician was observed recording the track in the studio.

Jungkook's Standing Next To You came out on November 3, 2023, as the third solo song from his debut studio album GOLDEN. As of this writing, the official music video of the song, released via HYBE Labels, has fetched over 149 million views on YouTube.

Standing Next to You surpassed 900 million listens on Spotify on September 23, making it the fastest solo single by an Asian musician to do so. Jungkook broke new ground with his most recent achievement - having three songs surpass 900 million plays on Spotify. He is the first Asian and K-pop artist to do this. L&R and Seven are the other two songs by Jungkook.

The other songs of GOLDEN album are Closer to You (feat. Major Lazer), Seven (feat. Latto) Explicit Version, Yes or No, Please Don't Change (feat. DJ Snake), Hate You, Somebody, Too Sad to Dance, Shot Glass of Tears, and Seven (ft. Latto) Clean Version.

The making of this album has been shown in BTS' Jungkook's documentary I AM STILL, released globally on September 18, 2024. The synopsis of the documentary on its exclusive website reads,

"Through exclusive, unseen interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, alongside electrifying concert performances, this brand new film showcases Jung Kook's eight-month journey, capturing his unwavering dedication and growth."

Within one day of its premiere, BTS' Jungkook's solo documentary began to set records globally. The film emerged as the highest-grossing cinematic event by a K-pop solo artist in Italy and South Korea's box office.

On September 25, the film review platform Rotten Tomatoes recognized BTS' Jungkook's recent documentary I AM STILL with its 'Verified Hot' designation. This designation is awarded to any film with the highest authenticated audience ratings. I AM STILL is currently rated as Verified Hot at 100% on the Rotten Tomatoes scale, Popcornmeter.


In other news, BTS' Jungkook's song Seven (explicit version) received Platinum certification from the RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) on September 27, 2024. The track has exceeded 100 million streams in the RIAJ's streaming division. The clean version of Seven had previously obtained this certification.
